Opponents said that the bill will . . . leave people unsure of whether others law abiding citizens around them are carrying hidden weapons.

Yep, that's what it's supposed to do. People are already unsure of whether criminals around them are carrying hidden weapons, so that part won't change a bit.

Yep. Let's all make a pact.

Every time we see a news article from our state where an innocent victim was injured, killed, raped, robbed, etc. we make sure we point out that the victim might still be alive or uninjured if they had been allowed to protect themself by being allowed to carry a weapon. A continuous stream of Letters to the Editor might help; it can't hurt. It will be doubly effective if we women do it. Over and over and over again.

If Theresa Halbach had been armed, maybe she'd still be alive versus chopped up into little pieces and scattered around a junk yard by Steven Avery? (Yeah. Yeah. He's innocent. *Rolleyes*)

How about the young woman we just lost in Madison over Christmas? The one who was asphixiated, and her body dumped less than a mile from my house in the ditch on the side of the road? Think she being armed may have had a more positive outcome for her? Even if she could've just tased the guy, maybe she could've gotten away?

In fact, I'll bet if we took even a cursory look at the news from our state today, we could find a few more examples...

First I was sad; now, with each passing minute, I'm just getting p*ssed at how our Governor refuses to protect his citizenry while he plans his "socialist utopia" for us against our free will and constitutional rights.

If I see Doyle's smarmy face on the news tonight, rubbing it in as to how "he knows what's best for us," I'm going to throw a brick through my TV.

Vicki is broadcasting from the Capitol right now, if anyone wants to listen in:

http://www.wiba.com ('Up Front' is her show.) The two that flipped on us were ones that voted FOR CC all the way along. We were really betrayed. (Steinbrink & Van Acron were the turncoats. Spelling is probably wrong, I'm typing fast!)

Hey, you know what?? When I heard about that shooting in the post office this morning, I thought, oh great. Everyone will say ban the guns, innocents were killed. But you'll never get rid of the guns and the loons who will use them! So the innocent need to be armed so they aren't sitting ducks like this.

You definitely have a great idea. Let's do it! Let me get some of this homework done and I'll talk to you a little later, ok?! :o)

The Group, "WI gun owners" sent out a package. It contained printed post cards to the 3 dems. The post cards said this CC law is anti-gun legislation and asked the reps not to vote for it. I met the chiefs of this group at the last CC vote. When I turned down their request for money, and told them to use e-mail, they went unfreindly fast.

The dems betrayed WI again for their leader.

It is a good idea to collect instances of attacks that would have turned out different if CC was allowed and exercised. The problem with collecting them, is that the bulk of the stories only appear in the media for a short time. Most don't even make it off the local police blotter.

So, what's your point? I have a printer and can print out stories every day that I find in the WI news on murder and mayhem that CC might have prevented. I think a big, fat file of examples would be a valueable tool to help the cause along the way. Legislators LIKE organized and educated constituents, and I would have no problem with contacting local media for statements from the families of the victims concerning this, too. ;) (Are some city Police Blotters are on-line now? I'm going to go check that out.)

And those two Dems won't be back after the next election, which lets us make our move to replace them both with Republicans. One is retiring, one will be tarred and feathered before sundown, I'm sure.

I'm just relieved to see that no Republicans turned coat this time around.

Swell. "No compromise" means staying defenseless.

The only way we'll get this right without any compromises is if the State Supreme Court rules on it. And you can betcherass the Dems are doing everything possible from letting it go there.

Thanks, Guy. More info and ideas for the next round.

To: Ladysmith; All

Here's our first robbery of the day. What perfect timing! You know, some of these Pizza Delivery people are OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS who do this part time while going to school. An armed Pizza Delivery Person would be a lot safer. What say you?

Pizza robbery: Monona police are looking for someone who robbed two pizza delivery drivers in three days at the same address.

Detective Lt. Richard O'Connor said a resident in the 200 block of Owen Road ordered pizza from Domino's at about 11 p.m. Saturday. That delivery person was robbed at gunpoint.

At about the same time Monday, a Papa John's delivery person was robbed at gunpoint trying to drop off a pizza at the same address.

In both incidents the gunman approached the victims from the 5700 block of Garden Circle, just north of where the robberies happened.

http://www.madison.com/tct/news/stories/index.php?ntid=70910&ntpid=2

Now that is one lazy-@ss criminal. Order pizza, hold up (at gunpoint) the delivery person when they arrive. I'm sure he'll be in the "Liberal Slacker Hall of Fame" this year, LOL! (No one was hurt, luckily; otherwise I wouldn't be joking.)
