The reason that I voted Republican in the last election was exactly because of what was coming from the Democrats’ mouths. Two years ago, I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams voting for a Republican, and now the thought of ever voting for a Democrat is repulsive to me. Keep the Democrats talking... They are defeating themselves!

If either of them had health problems, Ginsberg and Souter would probably leave instructions to embalm themselves and put transmitting microphones in their remains before they would consent to leave before the next election. They may be "impartial" justices as supposed, but Ginsberg at the least is a hard core extremist leftist. Given her past, that is not a hard epithet to pin on her. She isn't going to leave, no way, no how unless they carry her out.

I have visions of the balcony overlooking the May Day parade in Moscow back in the Seventies, where the Politburo was going through members so fast (all the old ones were dying off) and they are all up there waving, but when you look from the back, they were plywood cutouts with moving arms that waved...:)

He was thinking it's time to retire. Keep an eye on Cantwell, Sarbanes and Dayton. Cantwell has no money, Sarbanes is retiring (and Michael Steele, a black conservative Republican is running) as is Dayton. I don't know who's running in Minnesota, but if it looks like we can pick up any of those seats, I'd be more than happy to kick Chafee to the curb.
