Good. Now about this Roe vs Wade thing..... and Kelo, and McCain-Feingold, etc. ad nauseaum ... Remember, folks, the Court can't do squat until somebody brings a case.

Nice job, but I think you should take the famous John Riggins run in the 1982 Super Bowl and have him stiff arming Kerry.

Do you think that it would be better to push to revisit Roe v. Wade *now*, while Bush is in office and the senate is republican, i.e. a time of power? Or do you think it would be better to wait until after the 2008 election, whatever it brings? It just seems like to do it before 2008 could result in backlash, and that could give the senate back to the democrats...

WHAT THE HECK WAS LINCOLN CHAFEE THINKING ? Apparently he was making sure he wasnt going to be drafted as a Republican presidential candidate.
He is leaving open the possibility of running as a Democrat.

Re your #3:
"...Whoa. Kennedy is WAY too close to the pack."
Indeed.
He should be about 75 feet from the starting blocks puking his guts out.
When do you suppose that the esophageal varicies are going to catch up with him?
Won't be pretty when that happens! {B^{P~

Bush put two Catholics on the Supreme Court. Yet I trust that those two Catholics will vote according to the Constitution, and not according to their faith.

Kelo won't change. He is replacing an anti-kelo justice.
HOWEVER, dot dot dot, Alito and Roberts may be more persuasive on the pro-Kelo/Roe/etc justicies than their predecessors.

All of us who objected to the nomination of Miers should feel vindicated. We said, in affect, "lets go forward with the real contest of ideas". We did, and we won.
And as Rush is saying at this moment, bring on the next vacancy, and when it occurs, we want a Priscilla Owens, Hanice Rogers Brown type nominee.
