Funny how the headline differs from the text.
Headline: "Kerry should bow out gracefully"
Text: "John Kerry should sit down and shut up."
LOLOL!!!

If Kerry chooses to run again, watching him be defeated in the same manner would make him seem, at best, pathetic. Unless, of course, his current actions already make him seem that way. That will leave a mark.

"Statesman" and "Kerry" should NEVER be used in the same sentence.

Bad title. Hanoi John Kerry doesn't do anything gracefully.

"... making a great run at the White House in 2004. He fell short, despite what all exit polling said ..."Did I miss something? Perhaps the exit polling had Kerry 'falling shorter'? I don't recall him ahead in any exit polls (that mattered.) Maybe the one at his household? The revisionist media is right here before our eyes, in plain sight, folks.

IIRC, he was ahead in some of the early exit polls, particularly east of the Mississippi. Some in the Bush camp thought the election was lost, but it turned out that the sampling was badly flawed...

No, Kerry shouldn't bow out. He, Edwards, Gephart, whats-his-face in one of the Dakotas, McCain...they should all stay front and center in the Democrat party.
To: LdSentinal
Wow! Kerry gets smacked. Gracefully - now there's a word you don't often hear in connection with Kerry.

LOL! The future IS now and, pace Gil Scott Heron, the revolution WILL be televised!

Hell no. I want to see Kerry, Hillary, and Gore attack each other.

If Kerry runs again, I want to see the Swift Boat Vets bury him alive just like they did in 04.

If Kerry runs again, the Dems would be Swiftboating him in the primaries. That would be fun to watch!

"...we expected him to fade into the background."
What planet are these people from?
The Democratic Party is the only place where your stature goes up the more you fail (i.e. Clinton, Carter, Howard Dean, Gore, etc etc etc).
The only exception to this that I can think of is Puff Daschle - I think he got it.

"He [Kerry] fell short, despite what all exit polling said..."
So, in 2000 the Supreme Court provided the fix, otherwise Gore was the winner. In 2004, I guess they're saying here it was Dibold (sp.) with their rigged electronic voting machines that provided the fix - and that exit polling should be used to determine the president (if it favors Democrats).
So what next, in 2008 do we allow the Dems to pick the first Zogby poll that shows Hillary up by 3 points (just after the convention), and suspend all further campaigning and the vote itself, just to hand the crown to Hillary...
GROW UP DEMS - you lost twice. And there's a good chance you're going to lose again in 2008. You had your chance, and you failed in virtually every way possible - and there are still enough AMERICANS who do not want to see this country turn into a giant Amsterdam.
