At the risk of being crass, who gives a crap about Algore and "global warming" when we have a lot more pressing things on our plate?

You're not being crass, and that is a very good point. IMO, Iran certainly is one of the biggest issues on our plate, and Venezuela to a lesser extent amongst others.
The Kyoto group drives me nuts, and it bugs me that Gore, the Clintons, etc still get so much press over it. And to be honest, some of this stuff is simply amusing too.
