One of lifes greatest pleasures is a faithful dog, I bet he doesn't kick them out of the bed any more.

Both dogs growled at Hoffman's approach but after talking with them, Dusty and Butch moved over Wow! Not only do these dogs signal for help, they can also talk!

......I bet he doesn't kick them out of the bed any more. LOL! My dog "owns" the bed and is kind enough to allow me to sleep with him.
(In fact, he "owns" the house and my pickup too. lol)

IMHO, dogs, like people, are better categorized by character than by breed...

Wow! Not only do these dogs signal for help, they can also talk! You've never had dogs that talk? I taught my labs to sing ...and my little cocker to say "I Love You" and "Mama". lol

GOOD doggies!
Naturally the Lab took charge of holding the flashlight in his mouth and the sled dog from the frozen north (well, a mix anyway) took charge of keeping Dad warm . . .
Love the politically incorrect attire on Butch!

You can tell if you look at the picture that the deputy did in fact talk to the dogs, and the dogs talked back. He's a dog man, and he's got those fellas' full and complete confidence. He's probably telling them that Dad is o.k. and going to be fine, and that they're brave and wonderful dogs for saving his life. And the dogs are saying, "Hey, no hard feelings! We LIKE you."
. . . so much better than resorting to shooting them when they try to protect their master!

. . . so much better than resorting to shooting them when they try to protect their master! That thought came to me, too. What a relief that the man AND his dogs are safe!
GOOD dogs!

For Butch and Dusty, Pam Burns said, as soon as her husband is out of the hospital, both dogs are getting a steak dinner.IMO, deputy Steve Hoffman at least deserves a steak dinner out of all this too!
