Then why do we laugh when Wile E. Coyote gets creamed every few minutes?

Last place the boss would look.

But apparently the first place the boss would see it as headline news.

Yep my friends who served on carriers said that was one of the prime culprits.

ROFLMAO! Bass-O-Matic never fails to tickle me beyond all reason. It's right up there with Irwin Mainway and his "Bag-O-Glass" for the kids at Christmastime. :)

How would mechanics be sucked in after takeoff? It's not like the are out there flying around like birds.<< If it could happen, Alaska Airlines will find a way!
Gotta be careful around those intakes.

All of my Uncles from the Korean War forward were involved with planes in some way; either fixing them, loading them, fueling them, flying them or crashing them...well, only one Uncle did that, but amazingly he still walked away... :)

I remember seeing the same thing on A7's. Were you at Cannon?

This is truly an uneducated question, but why don't they have some sort of mesh covering the engine intake? This would minimize problems with birds as well.

Maneater? Was that from ingestion problems or the old crew ladder gag?
