My original post was not a question for you to provide a pompous reply to. This was something posted on Ireland On-line. That is why I posted the Blarney Stone remark. There was no source given to this supposed quote. Do I think that Hollywood celebrities are totally out of touch with reality? You bet. Do I think think that Mass. posters believe that they are better then the rest of us? Look to the splinter in your own eye before you lecture us.
Clooney bought a mansion in Italy from the Heinz family. Apparently Kerry and his wife didn't own the house, but that's the story that got out. It was another indication of how distant Kerry was from ordinary people and their concerns. The Kerry-Heinz millions and the Clooney connection made Kerry look pretty bad. Maybe that's what Clooney's talking about. The quote is ambiguous -- did Clooney hurt Kerry by not being on the train, or did Clooney stay off the train because he had hurt Kerry's chances already? Look for the whole context to find out.
