George $norry is about as bright as the inside of a goat, and about as credible as a Clintoon denial.

Watching NASA TV...

They are getting ready for the release of the re-entry capsule...

Some confusion about modeling of the telemetry data, it didnt come back looking good, now they are saying that the problem was with the modeling, and that they are confident that things are OK... 5 Minues till separation...

Looks like the release of the reentry capsule was successful, I'm going to bed, I hope the rest of the mission proceeds as well. I am not going to get up early to keep up with the actual reentry and recovery.

NASA is great when the politicians aren't micromanaging them. In other words, the manned program is doomed. The remaining question is if the unmanned program will be collateral damage.

True--but you have to admit, he's always good for a laugh!

Wow, $212 million is a bunch of money to spend to collect space dust.

sNorry had Hoaxland on, invoking the "The Andromeda Strain" plot, and mentioning a researcher or two that posit the
theory that viruses (specifically flu?) come from riding on the meteors entering the atmosphere.

He intoned, that NASA should dock Stardust with the ISS and do the research there in equivalent level 4 isolation.

sNorry should have had Hoaxie on first, then Dr. Sky, so as to bring the audience back from the brink of despair.

Any way, one of the Apollo missions brought back pieces of an unmanned probe that spent a few years on the Moon.
It turned out the probe was not sterile at launch, and the pieces still had staph bacteria on them. NASA was able
able to revive the bacteria after the hostile stint on the Moon.
