MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - A convicted murderer who was denied his wish to be executed left a suicide note in which he wrote of the pain of watching others on death row agonize over their fates.
Charles E. Roche Jr., 42, of Hammond was found dead in his Indiana State Prison cell early Tuesday hanging from a bed sheet braided into a rope and tied around his neck, the Indiana Department of Correction said.

Roche was sentenced to death for the 1990 shooting deaths of Ernest Graves of Calumet City, Ill., and Daniel Brown of Louisville, Ky. The bullet-riddled bodies were dumped in Gary.
Boo friggin hoo...Saved the taxpayers money IMO.
---Your so insensitive, Pass the Champagne (Big grin) hehehehe :)
Yes...it was cruel to supply the murderer with only bedsheets....He should have been provided with a rope.
"Yes...it was cruel to supply the murderer with only bedsheets....He should have been provided with a rope."
--OH yes, i would supplied him with not just any ordinary rope, but SOAP-on-A-ROPE :) He can hang himself with style and his buddies can pass it on as a momento.
Shirley killed Gary?
----No. Gary Indiana. And don't call me Shirley. LOL
Almost wish I hadn't clicked on your profile page. Hope you're doing ok.
"Roche participated in a 2001 death row hunger strike, saying at the time he wanted to hasten his death because he was tired of prison and all the rules he was required to follow."
Of course he had a problem with following rules. He couldn't get his mind around one of the biggest ones: Thou shalt not kill.
This man's death is no loss.
I wish other inmates would follow suit.
Hmmm, maybe there REALLY is something to this "Life Without Parole" thing. Now, if they could just leave a few braided bed sheets around ...
