Sgt. Mark Seavey was outnumbered, but not alone at the moonbat townhall hosted by Reps. Jim Moran and John Murtha last week. Near the end of the marathon session, a Vietnam veteran, General Wagner, stepped up to the microphone to deliver a message from the mother of an Iraqi war vet who gave his life for his country and for the mission. After reading a scathing letter addressed to Murtha, Wagner talked about his own experience in Vietnam:

General Wagner speaks the truth

A snippet of Wagner's remarks:
I visit Walter Reed [Army Hospital] and talk to the young soldiers with their legs blown off. I know you do, too. I can't find one in a dozen that don't believe that they are fighting for a noble cause and are fighting to go back. And I think it's a disgrace when members of our Congress --just as they did in 1975 when they sold out the south Vietnamese--are selling out our soldiers today in Iraq!
You will be jumping out of your seat and cheering by the end of the clip. When Rep. Moran answers by delivering Cindy Sheehan-esque platitudes to the wild applause of the left-wing audience, Wagner does the only thing a decent man would do: He stands up and walks out.
General Wagner, wherever you are, thank you and God bless you.
Thank goodness for people like Gen. Wagner and other people will stand up to the pro-defeat crowd. I don't know how they do it.
Mudville Gazette has the details on an Army soldier who confronted Dem Reps. John Murtha and Jim Moran at a town hall meeting in Arlington, Va. Greyhawk transcribed the confrontation:
"Yes sir my name is Mark Seavey and I just want to thank you for coming up here. Until about a month ago I was Sgt Mark Seavey infantry squad leader, I returned from Afghanistan. My question to you, (applause)"Like yourself I dropped out of college two years ago to volunteer to go to Afghanistan, and I went and I came back. If I didn't have a herniated disk now I would volunteer to go to Iraq in a second with my troops, three of which have already volunteered to go to Iraq. I keep hearing you say how you talk to the troops and the troops are demoralized, and I really resent that characterization. (applause) The morale of the troops that I talk to is phenomenal, which is why my troops are volunteering to go back, despite the hardships they had to endure in Afghanistan.
"And Congressman Moran, 200 of your constituents just returned from Afghanistan. We never got a letter from you; we never got a visit from you. You didn't come to our homecoming. The only thing we got from any of our elected officials was one letter from the governor of this state thanking us for our service in Iraq, when we were in Afghanistan. That's reprehensible. I don't know who you two are talking to but the morale of the troops is very high."
Moran - who is one of the few congressmen supporting Charlie Rangel's call to restore the draft - responded quickly: "That wasn't in the form of a question, it was in the form of a statement. But, uhh... let's go over here." And he took the next question.
The '06 campaign ad clips are piling up...

ping. This is good.
Awesome. Watch the video.

God Bless Sgt. Mark Seavey.

Thanks for the post and link.
The left is much better at getting their people out. When these events take place our side should overwhelm the few idiots from the left who do show up. They don't. It's a blemish on our side to be sure.
I share General Wagner's point of view. These people who flatter themselves as supporting the troops, are dilusional idiots.
Beautifully stated General Wagner and the letter was magnificent. We can never repay the soldier or his mother. The Rats only spit on their service just like in Nam.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
I agree. Only a very strange person would "support the troops" by giving encouragement to the terrorists who want to kill our people.
"God Bless Sgt. Mark Seavey."
And may God Bless General Wagner at the same time!!
Man!! We are so very fortunate to have men like these at this point in time.
I hope that the people that put TRAITORS like Murtha and Moran into office wake up and realize their folly.
Yeah, the left has never gotten away from the early 1970's -- for them, the calendar is stuck, and I guess it always will be.
This. Is. Priceless.
As I noted in the post just below, Sgt. Mark Seavey confronted Democrat Reps. Jim Moran and John Murtha at a town hall meeting in Arlington, Va., earlier this week and left the moonbats momentarily speechless. Greyhawk transcribed Sgt. Seavey's comments. I have now isolated and captured the video clip from C-Span for educational purposes and for posterity:
Download the video (.wmv file).

Sgt. Mark Seavey to Murtha and Moran: "I don't know who you two are talking to but the morale of the troops is very high."
My favorite moments were the look on Rep. Jim "Bad Boy" Moran's face when Sgt. Seavey challenged the Dems' "demoralized troops" meme and noted that Moran didn't bother to send a single word of praise or attend a homecoming event when 200 of his Moran's constituents returned from duty in Afghanistan...

...and the look on Murtha's face as Moran scrambled to move on to a friendly moonbat questioner...

I received an e-mail from Sgt. Seavey late last night. He told me:
I was so upset, you wouldn't believe it. I speak to large audiences regularly, but never such a hostile one, and never when I am so upset, so I was really nervous about how I came off.
You done good, Sgt. Seavey. Sane Americans everywhere are grateful for your bravery and service on the battlefield overseas--and at home.

Great clip!!! Keep this bumped.

The only difference between this man and a sack of pig manure is the sack.
This is great.
We're not going to let the demonrats and other traitors among us pull defeat from the jaws of victory like they did back in the 60's & 70's.
We all have to stand up and slap defeatism down just like these two brave Americans did.
I like your attitude. That's one of the differences between today and the Viet Nam era -- today, people on the other side aren't as bashful about having a pro-American opinion and speaking up.
Shamefully [albeit satisfying as hell] I did it a few times in the late 60's both in San Francisco and Long Beach and I still don't think I could control myself if I were in their presence.
People have to be more vocal to their elected officials about forgetting all the PC BS and "spirit of bi- partisanship". Tell them to stand up and speak the truth. They know these people are traitors, they just need to grow the stones and say it.
God bless them both!
Bookmarked.
I saw that soldier, and I saw Murtha and Moron's reactions.
Murtha looked at him like he was a Martian, Moron blew him off, and neither of these "patriots" had the mere decency to thank him for his service.
A few minutes later Moron went back to address that soldier's statement (an aide must have told Moron that he looked like a creep), and again the snot didn't have the common decency to address the soldier's service, but instead gave him some despicable platitudes. Murtha again said nothing.
I made it another 20 minutes before sickening from this seditious spectacle of cowardice, hypocrisy, and hatred.
Awesome. Thanks General!!!!!!

Murtha and Moron are disgraces to the Congress and our Country. Maybe we patriotic Americans should spit in their faces the way our troops were spat upon to give them a taste of their own medicine. The blood of those killed because of their defeatism is on their hands and their hands alone.
Ping!
Thanks and ping for later
Malkin ping request
Murtha might have been a good man while in the military, but he is now either senile or brainwashed.

Please FReepmail me if you would like to be added to, or removed from, the Michelle Malkin ping list...
Thanks for the ping!
:)
Well, frater, I hope that when you recall the whoopass you bestowed upon the deserving worms back in the day, your hands and knuckles grow warm with the memory playback.
God Bless,

He is trying to cover up the massive graft investigation that is going on against him. He is trying to evade criticism for his crimes by appearing to be "concerned" about America's welfare. He appears to be a self-serving pig. I hope is caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Mild by any definition. They are not delusional they are dangerous.
This war (in the largest sense) must be WON!
We repeat our lack of national unity here as in Viet Nam the consequences will make those (back then), which were monumental, pall in comparison.
There is only one motivation for the "left" to take this track and it is for power and if they should regain power through this method there won't be a republic left to defend.
In short, I vigorously HATE the left for this and I, for one, am ready to take to the streets. Long ago, in my youth, I explained to my left leaning also young friends that they never want to see "the right" take to the streets in this republic as "blood" will flow.
Push "us" too hard, to where we think we are in a corner and it is not only possible but probable.
Here endeth the emotional but heartfelt rant!
Cry Havoc!
Loose the dogs of war!
It turns my gut inside out every time a liberal compaires Iraq to Viet Nam. The only similarity is how the politcians are trying to betray this country.
Murtha is NOT on our side.
Moran never has been.
I talked to an old friend the other day who related some information from a Captain who's serving in Iraq. The Captain said that the MSM is lying out of their respective asses about what's going on in Iraq. Shades of Vietnam.
Great clip. Moran developed a sudden studdering problem because he had no idea how to respond other than say some crap about being for the troops.
I've only been to one "town hall meeting" in my life.......and I ate our Dem Congressidiot alive. Had The Lovely Wife and my oldest daughter with me.
