That's false. Russia did not sell any S-300 systems to Iran.

Russia is ready to sell S-300 air defense missiles to Iran. This heightens regional concerns about Tehran's desire to improve its missile technology and programs, including the Shehab-3 and -4 missile programs. According to regional intelligence sources, the S-300 systems have already been brought to Iran so that they can assess the capability of the missiles. The sale consists of missiles, launchers, and mobile radars and cost about $250 million. The system that Iran is buying is the same S-300 PMU-01 version that Russia has sold Cyprus. More than 100 Iranians will be trained on S-300s in Russia over the next six months. More than 300 Iranian military officers and technicians will receive training in Russia in several other fields. According to intelligence sources, half of them will receive long-range missile technology training, while about another 30 will take courses on nuclear programs. Iran has asked Russia to sell them the Kamov Ka-50 attack helicopters, submarines, and launchers for the Shehab-3 missiles.

Counter-rotating rotors are cool! The mechanism is more complex, but you gain hugely in stability and maneuverability.
Iran has wanted the S-300 system for over ten years now. They have still not put any into service. The S-300 does not appear on any threat list for Coalition forces stationed in the region. This is because Russia has still not supplied any. That is not to say that in the future after SA-15 sales the S-300 deal will then go ahead. Iran has not one associated S-300 radar system in operation.
To further highlight the sales criteria. Even Russian arms exports are accountable to Russian state control bodies. The Russians have recently sold the S-300 system to Vietnam along with upgraded Flankers. All these deals are accountable and the sales made accountable and public - ie they announce the sales. The same goes for Iran receiving SA-15s and any other arms products. Heavy pressure was brought on Russia by the US not to up the anti and sell S-300s to Iran. This diplomatic pressure was going on during the 1990s.
Russia may not sell S-300 systems to Iran, but may lease them, in my opinion, with the stipulation that they are deployed to protect Russian personnel that are helping to run and build Irans reactors. The day that Iran operationally deploys S-300s will be major breaking news. The US will use it to put pressure on Russia.
Well that should set the timetable then. Less than six months to get the job done. Whoever does it.
No F-15s were lost and only one F-117 was shot down. The losses to enemy action were a USAF F-16CG and an F-117A. Both pilots were rescued from inside enemy territory.
