You didn't mention my Buckeyes! Any predictions on what will be the hottest game in town besides the USC-Texas matchup?
Thanks for posting this article BB. Great read.

Saw my alma mater storm back to victory as well. I can't help but think that the Dems will have to disown their own base to be credible next year and in 2008. Is it even really possible for a major party to do that? McCain seems to try with the GOP base. It cost him the nomination last time.

... the fact is, Bama's offense is better than Tech's defense. Bama offense = #73
Tech Defense = #26
Strength of schedule:
Bama = #54
Tech = #14

LSU will lose to Miami. The local boy is out of the game, and their coach makes DiNardo look bright, look for Miami to eke out a decent victory. Ummm.............

Excellent column. Tony Snow also had a column reminding us that the President was a very good poker player, which sort of made the same point as yours.
I really hope there is an excellent historian who will write about these years. I want to know what was said in those Oval Office meetings, because I am pretty sure that a lot of this "weakness" was a deception.

You are probably going to be investigated for leaking classified information ; ) That's OK, Monica Lewinsky revealed classless information to Linda Tripp :-)

Ok, so I was wrong, unbelievably wrong. It still does nothing to change my perception of Miles as Miami was a somewhat overrated team this year (kind of like they were in 1992 and many other years past)
Because there are a few truths, one of them is, LSU ain't going to a National Championship as long as Les Miles is there. When Les Miles can go undefeated in the SEC and win an SEC title to boot, then I'll revise my opinion

Texas Tech won the Oklahoma game on a technicality, and when they faced Texas, they were blown out. If you look at everyone else they played, one thing becomes obvious, the Big 12 sucked this year, and Texas Tech was the main benefactor of it. If Tech had been playing in the SEC, they'd have more than 2 losses.

No it isn't. Without Tyrone Prothro, as was continually exhibited by Alabama, they have NO offense to speak of. And if USC wins, that doesn't do anything to the legacy of the Bear. If USC wins, they will be one of the best teams of all time and possibly the best dynasty of all time.

By their own choice of prior tactics, the Democrats are in the weakest possible position to complain about the release of secret infomation to the media.Thanks for the article, John. Well done!
