Bipartisan congressional negotiators squelch independent counsel's findings
Though it has had scant attention from the mainstream media, a bipartisan effort to squelch an independent counsel's final report on Clinton-era abuse of the Internal Revenue Service and Justice Department has gotten the attention of Web activists and commentators, causing a growing call for the release of the document that is said to including damning evidence against the 42nd president and his administration.
Over 10 years ago, independent counsel David Barrett was charged with investigating former Clinton Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Henry Cisneros in relation to his lying to the FBI about tax fraud he committed trying to cover up payments to a mistress. Though Cisneros pleaded guilty in 1999, Barrett, in the course of his probe, found evidence of wrongdoing within the IRS and Justice Department in relation to the Cisneros fraud.
Reportedly, Clinton team members tried to interfere with Barrett's investigation, which has cost $21 million, including conducting surveillance of his office.
An IRS whistleblower told Barrett, a Republican, of a cover-up surrounding the Cisneros matter.
Writes columnist Robert Novak: "The informant said a regional IRS official had formulated a new rule enabling him to transfer an investigation of Cisneros to Washington to be buried by the Justice Department. Barrett's investigators found Lee Radek, head of Justice's public integrity office, determined to protect President Bill Clinton."
Columnist Emmett Tyrrell, who has called for the release of the entire Barrett report, writes:

Maybe once a month, the Barrett Report gets mentioned on the editorial page
of The Wall Street Journal.
I'm afraid that the chances we (the public) will see an authenticated
Sasquatch before we'll see that report.
This cannot go away. It may be up to us, but it must be revealed.
There is a practical solution to all this; the Barrett Report needs to be leaked and dispersed far and wide via the internet. Surely there is a conservative of good conscience somewhere who has access to the unredacted text.

Just my humble opinion, BUT based on what has come out about ABLE DANGER, which is also being mutually COVERED UP by the Washington political class, the same thing applies to what has been discovered here about The Reprobate. I think the evidence is so damning to the political class in Washington, they will cover it up...and it is sickening that this PUBLIC INFORMATION is not being immediately released. I hope that JUDICIAL WATCH will file suit for the citizens to get this released - they are good at doing what the criminals in Washington refuse to do.

I have been following this since it ALMOST got buried in the Iraq supplemental...and it will be a travesty if it doesn't get reported...especially where the Clinton's complicity is concerned.
Maybe the Kerry, Kennedy dems that don't want her in will do something to let this slip out. After all, it sounds like it would do her in for good. It wouldn't be hard for them to do. Maybe they are waiting for the proper time.
This is going nowhere. In the dustheap with Able Danger. The media doesn't care and most Americans would either like to be like Clinton or like his honeys.
The Barrett report will be buried because: 1) It will condemn the Clinton legacy to the gulag (where it belongs) and, 2) It will destroy Hillary's presidential campaign. The Left can't let pesky things like facts and truth interfere with their uber agenda.
This is a bunch of crap. That report was paid for with taxpayer dollars, and should be released to the public. Further, the RAT criminals who tried to kill the report should be prosecuted.

Clinton is counting on membership in the ex-presidents' club to save his bacon (and Hillary's ambitions for '08). To paraphrase leftist David Letterman, Bush the Elder and Clinton have become so close that they're considering doing a cowboy movie together.
No way to spin it negatively against W (unless it is released) so Drudge won't run it. I truly wonder if Drudge sold the website in the past couple years to a MSM organization...seems far to the left of its content 5 years ago.

As much as I respect, admire and hunger for the concept and application of frontier justice, I'll settle for the full and complete report.

I'll say that I'm fairly happy with Drudge. Sometimes I'll get peeved, but I think the guy is very fair.
