Interesting. If the quotes attributed to him are true, then he wouldn't be the only patriot who had a problem with the Iraq War.
Of course, Tillman could have been a card-carrying communist for all I care. He lived and died a hero in service to his country. I saulte him, and all who serve.
Hey...I am sometimes easly fooled...so I wanted to make sure..
I totally agree with your purpose for posting it...the author is an idiot.
I agree with you that he was a patriot. He may though after a few years began to be a little bitter about his choice to turndown millions and began to buy into the horse---- that he was hearing from our wonderful MSM. That is probably why he began reading Chomsky. I just wonder had he lived what he would be saying right now about the war. Certainly a sad situation.
I don't understand how much more clear this sentence can be:
"On April 22, 2004, Tillman was killed while on patrol in Afghanistan by three American bullets to the head."
He died in Afghanistan.
Oliver Stone will probably make a movie about the conspiracy!
Who knows? I just hope that Freepers don't start trashing him if it turns out that Tillman was against the Iraq war.
I don't know...I just cannot figure out why someone would do what he did...for the reason he did it..
and be a fan of Noam Chomsky...
If he was a fan of Chomsky before he signed up...it REALLY doesn't make sense...and if he started reading Chomsky after he enlisted...something must have happened while in the military to knock him completely sideways.
I doubt that freepers will start to trash him. In fact I am sure that we won't. We are unlike our counterparts on the left, who absolutely trashed his name , calling him babykiller, fool, jock, musclehead etc... Remember the Ted Rall cartoon? That of course was before this little bit of info on him possibly being against the war. Now he will be their darling. They will do what they are chastising repubs for doing. Using his memory for political gains. Bastards.
I know he died in Afghanistan, I thought your question was where does it say in this article that he died in Iraq. Sorry if I misunderstood.
I posted a link earlier from an article written when Tillmn died that he had died in Afghanistan.
I hope you are right. I really do.
I DID ask that. NOWHERE in this article does it say he died in Iraq!!
"I just hope that Freepers don't start trashing him if it turns out that Tillman was against the Iraq war."
I contend that this is completely irrelevant. He died in Afghanistan, serving our country. He's not a hero because he died, he's a hero because of the way he attempted to support a unit that was pinned down by ENEMY fire. The fact he was killed by friendly fire, though tragic, does not change anything.
RIP, Thank you for your service, Pat Tillman.
Ted Rall still has an a$$kicking by me waiting for him.
Got it.
Fratricide applies whether or not the killing was accidental or intentional. I've never heard a whisper of anything to suggest that the killing was intentional.
Now, the Rangers are aren't always the brightest bulbs, but it'd be 80 below and raining ice cubes in Satan's back yard before they'd bump off one of their own for some political BS. Anyone that knows any Rangers knows that this 'political cover-up killing' theory is about as plausible as saying that JFK's death was a suicide.
You can always spot the liberals' fantasies about the military in lines klike this one. It's so bogus.
The only meeting with Chomsky would have been to kick his commie ass...
