I find the constant equating conservatives with Fascists very illuminating in regard to the mind of the typical DU cretin (or any other hard core demo-dummie). Have these left-wing name callers ever gone back and read any of the literature of early 20th century (1900-1930-ish) European fascists? Of course the answer is they haven't ! For if they did they would find an awful of agreement between fascist economic policy & democrat economic policy.
If you want to see what I mean go to www.oswaldmosley.com & read his works. (Yes their still are Mosley admirers in the UK!)I find it amazing that the British electorate was still sending 1 or 2 British fascists to Parliament up until the early 1960's !

I could see certain members of the Jewish half of my family doing this as an extension of their sick sense of humor. Imagine the headlines of that arrest " Jew arrested for disseminating Nazi propaganda"

Nazis are freaks and psychopaths. That said, we should NEVER have a law anything like this on the books.

If we did, we'd be able to arrest all the members of International ANSWER with impunity for doing nothing other than having freakish political opinions.

If they break the law, arrest them. Political speech is not breaking the law, even if it is repugnant.

Exactly. When I see someone walking down the street with spiked hair and body piercings everywhere I instantly know that they and I probably won't see things eye to eye, this is the same thing.

"There is a law in Austria that makes Nazi propaganda a crime."

We need to have a similar law regarding islamic propaganda but with automatic death penalty.

I agree. It's called National Socialism for a reason. It's meant to distinguish it from International Socialism favored by the Soviets. The nazis were, first and foremost, socialists.

Now that's funny! LOL

30% think we should have that law.

Flag burning should also be banned. Heck, I can think of lots of things to ban.

Your right, they can't same them out loud, and we can't say them in our heads.
Go figure.

Absolutely! Can't have phrases we don't like being uttered all willy-nilly now, can we? On an unrelated note, isn't it a shame that there are people who would like to do that to 'Merry Christmas'?

Is it free speech to provide aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States?

I don't think so.

Article III

Section III

TREASON - WHAT AND HOW PUNISHED

1. Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhereing to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. (my emboldened copy)

"I wonder how the Austrian government feels about National Socialists...I think they should put all of them in jail also..."

Would there be anyone left in their govenrment? On this side, it would mean jailing many in congress and a few previous occupant's of 1600 PA Ave

Declare war and you'll have a point. Until then, it doesn't apply. That is one of the reasons Jane Fonda is still alive. Couldn't arrest her for treason as it wasn't a declared war.

We should jail every politician who wants to take things away from us for [allegedly] the common good.
