The Cooling World
There are ominous signs that the earths weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production- with serious political implications for just about every nation on earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only ten years from now.

Being from Minnesota, I think this global warming cycle we're in is pretty neat...

Let's not forget the 1970's book The Population Bomb that predicted we all be starving to death by the year 2000 due to over population. To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the world's demise by global cooling/warming, over population etc. are greatly exaggerated.

Too bad Global Warming, is a crock. It should be embraced and welcomed, seeing how everyone is b!tching on the high cost of heating oil and gas!

As best as I can determine from the literature, we stand on the verge of a resumed Ice Age.
Cranking up CO2 levels is probably our best available expedient to stave off the glaciers.
I think I'll go burn a few old tires now!

This is why the left likes muslimes so much. mo-ham-head said all kinds of contradictory stuff, so he came up with the rule of supercedence: The last thing he said is right.
The left lives by that, even if the contridiction came 3 days ago, versus 30 years ago. Hence: I voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it.

The difference was, back then the whole world wasn't blaming the United States for Global Cooling. Now Global Warming is just another code word for US bashing.

Well I am the founding member of the Iowa Citrus Growers Association (ICGA). Maybe we should talk; I could help you set up the Minnesota version.
I envision orange groves along I-35 from Iowa all the north to Duluth, and from Duluth north to Grand Marais.
I am seeking investors right now. Interested investors can email me at oneborneveryminute@suckers.com

I have been using aerosol products for years in the hopes of having beachfront property without relocating.
As if that had an impact.

Does that mean that we need to import more illegals to harvest the fruit? If so, I may have to re-think my position.

Yes, but do they eat much? I wouldn't want to have them eat up the profits. Are you trying to start some system for getting illegal Iowans into Minnesota? Maybe we need border guards on the Iowa border!

"Yes, but do they eat much? "
They wouldn't eat any of the citrus products. They usually stick to french fries and sugary soft drinks. They usually get a good discount at the counter of where they work.

Good, because we feed our illegals lutefisk for lunch while they work the fields. Keeps out the riff-raff unless they bring their own food. Every had a lutefisk enchalada?

Gawd, that movioe blew major chunks. :) I took a date to see it when it was in the theater. I spent a lot of the remainder of the evening apologizing for it.

Any time science gets politicized, it should be viewed with the same suspicion a reasonable person would view a politician's campaign promises.
Decades ago, in high school, it was "a new ice age".
Now, it's "global warming"

» that movie blew major chunks. :) LOL! Never saw it in a cinema. The one significant thing I recall about this movie was a certain, uh...scene with a real-life dude and that cartoon chick.

"Whether the trial of Galileo or the tyranny of Lysenko, at all times and in all polities, science politicized is science betrayed"
Quotation from: R. Seitz, "A War Against Fire: The Uses of Global Warming," The National Interest, Summer 1990, pp. 54-62.
The environmental movement has used the Trojan horse of 'saving the planet' to promote a totalitarian political movement in the United States. The policies they promote have resulted in millions dead from the ban on DDT, increased gasoline costs from excessive regulations and many other negative health and economic effects.
Quotations from environmentalists:
"More science and more technology are not goint to get us out of the present ecological crises until we find a new religion, or rethink our old one." --Lynn White, Jr. "The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis," Science, (Mar. 10 1967), p 1206
"People are the cause of all the problems, we have too many of them; we need to get rid of some of them, and this [ban on DDT] is as good a way as any. Charles Wurster, Environmental Defense Fund
"We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." --Stephen Schneider (leading advocate of the global warming fraud, interview for Discover magazine, Oct 1989)

When will people learn?

Like your home page-nice history of your political journey. I'm getting ready to view "The Tunnel" from Netflix. May bring back some memories of your view of the divided Berlin if you get a chance to view it.
