My wife and I have read all to books to date. We speculate that the last horcrux is the scar on Harry's forehead. The last book indicated that all the horcrux's (whats the plural of horcrux?) will have to be found and destroyed in order to eliminate Voldamort.

Now THAT'S a plausible theory. I think the plural is "horcruces", BTW.

Rachel Dratch as HP

Yeah, but Lindsey Lohan as Hermione was much more interesting.

Of course the death of Dumbledore maybe a practice run (not really dead) Snape and Dumbledore may have had this planned out in advance.

Okay, I'll spill the beans. In the next and final book in the series, 'Harry Potter and the Brown Skid Marks of Shame', the young wizard manages to finally destroy Voldemort, lose his virginity, and graduate Hogwarts but unfortuantly all three happen simultaneously at an intervention for Hagrid's growing malt liquor problem.

Thanks! Made my morning!

The latest Harry Potter installment is the best-selling ever, with 20M estimated for US sales. the Bible will sell an estimated 24M hard copies in the US this year.

What amazes me is that 24M Bibles can be purchased in a single year, yet hardly any of them will actually be read.

"audio versions"

I never thought of getting the audio versions. I'm making a cross-country on the 17th - I am going to buy one! What an awsome idea :)

Yeah but people have been buying Bibles for centuries. They are everywhere. How many copies of Sorceror's Stone were sold last year?

However, we're talking books sales worldwide.

The Bible wins that contest even more handily than it does in the US.

In France, for example, the latest translated Potter may outsell the Bible, but in Nigeria (with twice France's population) the Bible will outsell Potter 20 to 1.

Freebies from the Gideons or missionaries overseas don't count.

Of course not. Factor that in and the Bible's numbers treble internationally.

Potter sells extremely well, but in the end it's just entertainment.

Interesting.

Did you also note the shape of the phoenix rising at Dumbledore's funeral?

Does that mean that Dumbledore is coming back and his death was faked in order to allow him greater mobility and anonymity in order to help Harry defeat Voldemort?

Was Dumbledore begging for his life or was he begging Snape to do what he had instructed him to do, knowing that he (Dumbledore) had discovered a defense against the killing curse (but not tested it)?

Is Snape REALLY the total turd that we think or has he been put into a terribly crappy situation by Dumbledore and circumstances?

Will the child actress who plays Ginny Weasley get any prettier or are is Harry destined to have to date a homely girl?

She has hinted that there might be a book that explores some of the characters a bit deeper.

Good theory. Hope its wrong. I'd like to think that good vanquishes evil and lives to tell the tale. Besides, Rowling is basically in her writing following the Hero Myth. You can't kill off your hero at the end of his journey. It simply isn't done.

Millions will be.

And a lot of it is repeat business - people buy multiple Bibles to compare translations and notes.

I own multiple English translations of the Bible but most likely I will not read any one English translation from cover to cover in 2006. Maybe the KJV.

"Of course the death of Dumbledore maybe a practice run (not really dead) Snape and Dumbledore may have had this planned out in advance"

Absolutely they had it planned in advance. They were seen arguing, but nothing else was mentioned. Also, D. was totally convinced that only Snape could help. And Snape showed NO hesitation whatsoever, but couldn't kill Harry for the life of him. Snape is now fully back in his role of spy.
My theory: D. split HIS soul, and that's how he'll come back.
