My Christmas card from the President and Mrs. Bush included a Psalm.
Is that this years?
"The school would not allow Bibles to be given out."
Nonsense! Like all colleges, there are many Christian organizations as official student organizations. The school would not, and could not disallow Bibles being passed out.
I wonder if they take Korans there .... or would that be considered an insult to Islam resulting in head removal?
Here's a list of student religious organzations on that campus:
Religious
Atheist Agenda
Baptist Student Ministry Campus Advance
Campus Crusade for Christ
Catholic Student Association
Christians on Campus
College Life
Eckankar Student Organization
Hillel at UTSA
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship
Muslim Student Association
Secular Student Alliance at UTSA
Student Association for Islamic Dialog
United Methodist Student Movement
World Center Campus Ministries

Nope. Use FreepMail.

My comment was semi tounge in cheek but I do believe the ACLU would have something to say about it.
Not a bad idea. While it is true that the Solstice holidays
were not Christian, the time was used to celebrate the
fact that the true light (not just the sunlight) had really
come into the world.Symbolically, like the day after the
winter solstice is longer than solstice, so now, the light
continues to get brighter and brighter after the Son's light
has come into the world.
It is not a bad idea or a non-Christian thing to celebrate
or have a time of rest or giving of gifts, or of visitation
to friends. So the Christmas time can be used for that.
As for having a tree, it is unnecessary and it's new symbolism
for the light of Christ (instead of the light of the sun)
puts good use to an old tradition.
In the long run, however, the resurrection of Christ from
the dead is what makes Christmas possible. If you don't
believe in the resurrection of Christ, there is no absolute need
for Christmas as a holy day at all. Tons of babies are born
every day, why celebrate His birth? But very few have
been resurrected from the dead.

No, they wouldn't. In fact, if the school tried to keep students from giving Bibles away like that, the ACLU would be happy to step in on their side. They've done it many times.
1. Go buy a copy of the Koran.
2. Turn it in to these freaks in exchange for porno.
3. Post pictures on the Internet of the "Smut for Smut" atheists treating the Koran as if it was porn.
4. Watch and see how freaked out these idiots get when they start getting fatwas posted on the Internet against them. Because, as we all know, Muslims will kill them for stuff like that.
The kid being interviewed on the news was a pathetic, smirking parrot of whatever lines he'd been fed by whoever was really in charge of this mockery. He had nothing original to say, and admitted they were just trying to get publicity. Mom must be SO proud.
There is some sort of code in this article.....why would an article about Auburn contain "Roll" and "Tide" both capitalized in the middle of the sentence....hummmm
WAR EAGLE!
Right.... what, you got 2 obscure cases somewhere to cite, and that's supposed to refute their never-ending war against Christianity? Sorry, not buying it.
The ACLU is the Spawn of Satan.
Yes, okay, I'm one of the people commenting on there.
Oh how I WISH that would happen!

Well, I'm doing it this year. No tree, no presents (though I probably will give something for Toys for Tots or something similar). But otherwise, I am ignoring Christmas for the first time ever.
