deaths from suicide, accidents and homicide are 248% higher in the year following an abortion

It's understandable. These poor women have been deceived - and they've slaughtered their innocent, defenseless child because of it. I can't imagine the pain they must have to live with.

Red State.org has great information, with data. (And I've mentioned it on my blog.)

Finland has socialized medicine and support for single mothers. There's even a 26 week parental leave that can be split between parents.

There's great info at RedState.org.

Take a look at the social structure in Finland. It's highly socialized with government healthcare and mandated 26 week parental leave.

You might also note that the controls are women who weren't pregnant in the previous year and women who delivered.

Interesting, clearly abortion is a risk to the mother, the justification of abortion for the mothers well being obviously are erroneous. Imagine the psychological damage to the mother if it drives so many to kill themselves. For every suicide, there must be a hundred clinically depressed.

I guess abortion does not just ruin the life of the baby.

"That study also found that the increase risk of death was most prominent from suicides and accidents, with a 154 percent higher risk of death from suicide and an 82 percent higher risk of death from accidental injuries."

Replace "abortion" with any drug, product, or manufacturing process as the causation of these statistics, and you've got yourself a multi-million dollar lawsuit.

At the abortion "clinic" I picket at regularly by far the most people that come in are driving expensive vehicles and are well dressed. In fact many of the vehicles are quite high end.

The suicide rate among women who had abortions was six times higher than that of women who had given birth in the prior year and double that of women who had miscarriages.

Thanks for the bump.

I suppose this is because of the mean people who stigmatize those women who abort their children. We need to celebrate abortion. < /s>

My guess would be that many of these "accidents" were actually suicide...

Could be, but reckless behavior may be an underlying factor.

Any pharmaceutical drug that came with these risks would never gain FDA approval. Any other elective medical procedure that carried a 248% increase in the risk of death in the year following the procedure, would require a disclosure of the added risks. In any other area of medicine, "doctors" would disclose this information as a means of limiting their liability.

Perhaps the fact that these studies have consistently proved an increased risk of death, will lead to an increased risk of financially crippling law suits for abortion "doctors". I know that my optimism is born of rational expectations of irrational people, i.e. the judges that would hear such law suits.
