The polls do represent US views, most American's don't have any idea what is happening in Iraq. They don't know who we are fighting, why, or what it means to lose.

It's amazing that on the hill, certain congressmen and senators badmouth the military, say our can't win, say they are the enemy, call for the immediate withdrawal, yet won't back up their claims with votes..... and at the same time the President of the United States speaks to the troops and thanks them.
