So a red herring is the source? The plot thinnens.

A Source is a source, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a source of course
That is, of course, unless the source is the famous Mr. X
Go right to the source and ask of course
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
The famous Mr. X

Plame's job was all but common knowledge in DC and she was not in any true undercover position when with hubby in tow she goes junketeering to Niger. Fitzgerald is just on a fishing expedition and is trying desperately to hang something...anything on the Bush administration. His indictment of Libby is about as credible as indicting him as a co-conspirator in kidnapping the Lindberg baby.

AZ, unless I'm not reading your post right, whether Dr Rice as National Security Advisor or Secretary of State, it doesn't matter. Both positions are in the administration! I've seen some of your posts on other threads. Why do you think(want)Dr Rice to be the "source"?

Chistopher Hitchens, of all people, has the best one-liner summary of this whole deal:
"the non-commission of non-crimes and the non-outing of a non-covert CIA bureaucrat"

There once was a man named Source,
Who spilled out secrets with no remorse,
He told deep throat.
Who f**** the goat,
Set government in crisis. of course!

That's right. Now I'm wondering who this "administration source" was after all.

When is the last time the Wash Post equated Secy of State with Top Bush Admin officials? They alsways make the distiction between State Dept. and Administration.
I could be wrong. I just got off the phone with someone who sweares it is Karen Hughes. But Condi was in the know and would had legitmate access to such info.

Hey, there you are, AC. What were we talking about? It's been so long I've forgotten. LOL, just kidding.

Novak said that it was a senior administration official, not a partisan gunslinger and that everyone would be surprised. Well, Colin Powell fits all three criteria...

LOL. I tried to ping you to another thread about 20 minutes ago, but it was pulled before you could read it (I think it was a duplicate).
I've been exercising my legs for a while -- need to keep them loose after injuring myself playing hockey a couple of weeks ago.
