I agree with that assessment. The left wants to conflate principled conservative stances with off-the-wall pronouncements as though the two were inextricably linked. Robertson is used to falsely draw this image of conservatives in general. It is true that ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN ignore left-wing wild statements, and their bias should be noted. Concordantly, I hope that people close to Robertson talk to him about avoiding wild statements, because I actually do feel he's a good man who takes the right side on a lot of things. I wish him well, I just want him to choose his words more judiciously.
Dr. Dobson realizes that the ruling was anti-parent and said so.
I completely agree. We on the right must be careful what we say, because it will be used to marginalize calls for sane policy. Hey, I'm probably as guilty as anyone else for going off the deep end at times.
Thanks for the response.
Will you personally send it to them?
So he's judging a ruling by the outcome instead of its legal accuracy? If the law is anti-parent, then rulings based on the law are going to be anti-parent. No sense in shooting the messenger. Just wastes ammo.
It's funny when I read your post it reminded me of how wacky John the Baptist must have looked and sounded to the people of that time. I do not agree with everything he says but then who does believe everything anybody says. Like the people in Penn. who decided they didn't want any God like subject matter in their schools and Pat Robertson said then remind yourself of that when there may be a disaster and then all of a sudden find God. I think the point he was making was about being lukewarm and remember what the scripture says about being lukewarm? He the Lord will vomit you out?
