Hugh is in DC today.
Sen. DeWine is on now.
Dewine wants vote by end of year.
DeWine calls this pick in the mainstream....:-)
DeWine will vote for the NUCLEAR OPTION!!!
DeWine:"Extraordinary circumstances" don't apply.
Wasn't DeWine in the Gang of 14? If so, nice that he thinks "extraordinary circumstances" don't apply.
"Wasn't DeWine in the Gang of 14?"
Dan Coats is up next.
What does Hugh think of the choice?
He was here within minutes of the Miers choice and removal.
a RINO with a RINO on his show
looks like the DEMs' bluffing will not work!!! Look for McCain gets with the program sooner than later :)

Here's your answer: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1512659/posts
Dan Coats is up.
Look for Lincoln Chaffee to fall in line.....he is in a tough reelection fight....he needs the parties help.
He may be whiny but he isn't stupid.
De Wine just said on Hugh Hewitt that he WILL vote for the Constitutional Option! That 2 of the squishy 7!!!!!</p>
Dan Coats hinted at others of the 7 coming forward in the next 24 in support of Alito.
I know there was talk of RINOs will vote with DEMs. What a stretch!!! When the chip is down, these RINOs are not that st*pid.
Agreed....They're not suicidal.
Hugh reading the Talking points sent to Chris Matthews...Coates calls them VILE.
Seriously, that's fine, but he shouldn't have signed up with that group last spring in the first place.
I wouldn't be suprised if the 7 wayward RINOs will declare full support for Judge Alito in the next 24 hours.
These 7 wayward RINOs can't claim a "special circumstance" when some of them voted for Ginsberg!!!
"DeWines on Board!

About Analysis & Predictions, Alito
Just heard Sen. Mike DeWine (R-OH) of the Gang of 14 and the Judiciary Committee on the Hugh Hewitt Show, where he enthusiastically endorsed Alitos nomination.
Even more significantly, he stated that he would, indeed, invoke the constitutional option should the Democrats try to filibuster Alito.
Given that Lindsay Graham also of the Gang of 14 and the Judiciary Committee has pledged that he, too, would vote for the constitutional option, only one more member of the Gang needs to come forward in order to demonstrate conclusively that Democratic efforts to filibuster this nomination would be futile.
Paging Senator McCain..."
I agree 100% regarding McCain. If he has any political sense at all, sometimes I wonder, he will jump on this like a duck on a June bug. He scores points with conservatives for being on the right side of this issue.
HH: "It's a war the Democrats can't win."
From Hugh's website:
"As I wrote below, the best way to preempt a filibuster is for the nine Republicans thought lukewarm or hostile to the constitutional option to announce, early and often, that they will vote for the constitutional option if Democrats attempt a filibuster based upon ideology. If the Senate Democrats know they are going to lose the vote, they will have to approach this debate much, much differently. And if the MSM loses their filibuster storyline early, it will be difficult to campaign on air to legitimize the practice.
Senator Graham led the way for the nine yesterday, and the other 8 ought to follow:
Senator McCain mccain.senate.gov/index.cfm?fuseaction=Contact.Home (202) 224-2235
Senator Warner warner.senate.gov/contact/contactme.cfm (202) 224-2023
Senator DeWine dewine.senate.gov (202) 224-2315
Senator Chafee chafee.senate.gov/webform.htm (202) 224-2921
Senator Snowe http://snowe.senate.gov/Webform.htm (202) 224-5344
Senator Collins collins.senate.gov/low/contactemail.htm (202) 224-2523
Senator Hagel hagel.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Offices.Contact (202) 224-4224
Senator Specter (202) 224-4254 specter.senate.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=ContactInfo.Home "
McCain will appear on Sean Hannity tonight. I expect McCain to declare full support by then. The gang of 14 will become the thing of the past...
Hi Checkers, I'm here! Better late than never? I'll scan down to see what I missed.
Trick or treat time is driving the dogs crazy: wruf wruf wruf!
As well he should!
Mike Lee is up after the news.
A big part of his instant lobbying on behalf of Miers was that we couldn't get a distinguished conservative judge approved.
Now we are going to prove him wrong! Fight for what is right!
It feels good! :)
I think maybe our gazillion angry e-mails and phone calls had an effect, Molly..............hehe......
"Mike Lee is up after the news."
He's a former Alito clerk.
First DeWine votes with Coburn against the bridge to nowhere, now he calls Alito a homerun. I'm just going to have to vote to reelect the guy.
(Not that our intense pressure on him had nothing to do with it..... :)
Nope, not a thing.
Victotia Toensig(sp?) & Joseph DiGenoeva up next.
