He clearly doesn't understand that the current population of the earth is critically dependent on high tech food production. Take away the artificial fertilizers, genetically improved plants, specialized insecticides and mechanized harvesting tools and there would be mass starvation. We don't have a choice in that matter. The climate change is a normal physical cycle. The only interesting issue is that we have the means to understand it and see it coming. It isn't man made, but we do have a choice in the matter. We can relocate populations and food production to places that will be productive in the future instead of standing idle as the changes come forth.
