RUSH: So I'm minding my own business last night as I usually do,
bothering no one,
and all of a sudden
-- what time was this? I think it was before the World Series games.
I think the media got up today with the same theme going, said,
Well, what all this was last night was just more of the same, what we've had for the previous two weeks or three weeks. All these rumors,

So I'm sitting there; I'm scratching my head.
Wait a minute.
That's what this was all about two years ago
and they're just now getting around to it now?
I mean, you would think they would have had this wrapped up within the first three months. You go door-to-door. You ask anybody in the neighborhood,
"I didn't know,"
or would you say, "Hell yes, I knew, and everybody here knew."
"How did you know?
Well, we want to subpoena you. We're going to bring you down to the grand jury."
What are you going to say?
But this Washington Times story from this past summer mentions that everybody in their neighborhood knew.
So I'm going to present all this to you in a chronological order here after the break. We're not going to spend nearly as much time on it today as we did yesterday because we've pretty much made our point here, but I do want to deal with the latest.
This is more than a media conniption, folks. This is childish.
This is amateurish.
This is the way four- and five-year-olds behave on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,
and if they don't get what they want, the parents are going to have hell to pay here. Santa Claus, whoever, will have hell to pay.
But get this: CNN reported this CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.
RUSH: Nine in ten say they believe the Bush administration did something illegal
She wasn't.
It's moot.
The original purpose for this investigation cannot be what's still going on.
If all of this is true, there really can be no crime in terms of outing this woman and her status. Mr. Rustmann said,
So here you have this agent
who is supposedly working under deep cover
and to release her identity would be to threaten her life and put it at risk, and everybody who knew her.
Here she is contributing as Valerie Wilson, Brewster, Jennings & Associates, publicly making these donations to the Al Gore campaign.
So all this news we had for you last summer.
But the reason I bring this up is because the press is still on this.
We're back to the same thing we were yesterday. The press is ignoring its own body of work.
History begins today,
as far as the press is concerned. New York Times, Washington Post ignoring what they wrote about this back in 1998 in terms of the weapons of mass destruction
and now ignoring what has been published and known about Valerie Plame, Valerie Wilson, since at least last summer,
especially with this notion
that everybody in her neighborhood knew who she was
and that she and her husband were not keeping quiet about it,
and I mention this only because it was a big deal last night,
some leak,
some leak from somewhere
saying the FBI is in the neighborhood interviewing people,
and you gotta figure,
This is from press accounts last night.
Now, I'm telling you that the concern over all this is,
Read the Articles...
(USA Today: Poll: Americans angry at Bush, GOP Dems in trouble too)
(Washington Times: Rove fight escalates - 07.15.05)
(Washington Post: Indictment is possible today in CIA leak case)
(RushLimbaugh.com: Christmas Eve for Media, Waiting for Indictments - 10.25.05)
(New York Times: Leak Counsel Is Said to Press on Rove's Role) (Washington Post: Bush aides brace for charges)
This ought to be required reading, and listening while reading, to all our voters and high-school students.
Mrs. Plame hadn't been out as an NOC since 1997, when she returned from her last assignment, married Mr. Wilson and had twins.
(That was in) USA Today reported (on July 14th). The distinction matters because a law that forbids disclosing the name of undercover CIA operatives applies to agents that had been on overseas assignment 'within the last five years.'
Couldv their reason for being in the neighborhood be the fact that the Wilsom's lawyer (Christopher Wolf) is also their next-door neighbor?
The media had a lot of egg on its face by the time it was over last night. Gee, wonder who threw that egg at them? I bet his initials are "K" "R".
There will be no indictments because there was no crime committed.
indict the media, they commit crimes on a daily basis.

When this whole thing first broke, I thought I read somewhere (here maybe) that Joe Wilson's bio in Who's Who listed his wife as Valerie Plame. Anyone else remember that?
I can't believe he lived by the Wilson's as long as he did and socialized with them, and did not know what she did! He should be called in to testify under oath and given a lie detector test.
Funny...I don't see a campaign contribution from "Valerie Plame" to Gore in 1999. I see
WILSON, VALERIE E MS;WASHINGTON,DC 20007
BREWSTER-JENNINGS & ASSOC.
$1,000 to Gore on 4/22/1999
and
WILSON, VALERIE E; WASHINGTON,DC 20007
N/A/RETIRED
$372 to America Coming Together on 10/11/2004
I wonder where Rush is getting his info.
Scroll down the page a bit. Looks like Joe outted her quite awhile ago.
I haven't listened to the audio yet cause I just ate dinner.
"I wonder where Rush is getting his info."
Yeah he's off of this one. Could be however, a good reporter or someone outside gov't, could see both the Plame and Wilson name show up in association with Joe, do some research and make a connection.
Hey Joe...Everybody's got somethin to hide
'cept for you, and your monkey, eh?
Well, maybe your monkey....You old rogue, you!
>B-)
Wolf is their lawyer. He's not going to say anything that would jeopardize their civil suit against the government.
And to add more to the topic...

From the Associated Press:
CALLER: Thank you for having me, Rush.
RUSH: You bet.
CALLER: Um, so, yeah. Essentially I'm just kind of baffled by your, uh, Santa analogy and Christmas morning analogy. Ummm... I just don't understand.
Are you trying to trivialize the fact that, uh, he's trying -- Fitzgerald is trying -- to make sure he has his facts in line before he, uh, actually, you know, goes about doing his indictments?
Because, uh, you know, it seems to me that the administration could take something from this and, you know, make sure that they have all their facts straight before they go into sumthin'.
RUSH: You know,
I sit here in stunned amazement
at how some of you hear what is said articulately and clearly on this program.
CALLER: Well, I mean, uh, not to belittle you, Rush,
but I don't take all my news from your program.
RUSH: Well, but you're obviously responding to something you heard on the program just now,
and you heard something I didn't say.
CALLER: Well, no.
RUSH: You actually --
CALLER: You said that the media was waiting for this like it was Christmas morning and that --
RUSH: Damn right, they are! There's no question.
You can't deny that. So are you.
CALLER: No, I mean, I'm not going to deny that, but, I mean,
for one thing I don't understand why they picked, uh, Fitzgerald in the first place.
Wouldn't have Ashcroft have been a better selection?
I mean, he was initially tapped to do this, wasn't he?
RUSH: Well, let's stay focused here,
because Fitzgerald is the choice,
and why they didn't choose somebody else is moot now.
So the point is you think
-- are you not happy with Fitzgerald? When did that happen?
CALLER: No, I'm not unhappy with Fitzgerald at all.
RUSH: Why?
CALLER: I want to make sure that he has his facts in order.
Because Libby set out in early 2003 to smear Joseph Wilson, the CIA agent [sic] Valerie Plame's husband.
It was a smear campaign, and,
you know, he was told to back off in 2004.
RUSH: So what? They're entitled to "smear" Joseph Wilson.
Is Joseph Wilson Jesus Christ?
CALLER: Is Joseph Wilson Jesus Christ?
RUSH: Is Joseph Wilson infallible? Is he the Pope? Is Joseph Wilson God?
CALLER: (laughing)
RUSH: Joseph Wilson is a liar.
He's a liar, Bill.
The people you're willing to throw in with here have me stupefied.
CALLER: Hold on, hold on, hold on. You're equating --
alright, so first it was the Santa Claus analogy
and now Joseph Wilson is Jesus Christ?
RUSH: What?
But...
This is a political dispute. You "smear" your enemies.
"Smear" in this case meaning they disagree with him.
He's out there lying about them!
CALLER: No, no, no --
RUSH: The smear here is Joseph Wilson.
Joseph Wilson is conducting the smear.
He and his wife started this thing as a smear!
But, look,
what I just said about Christmas morning: the media has been salivating.
You admitted it.
You're looking at it as Christmas morning, too.
All I said was (sobbing),
Read the Article...

(Washington Post: It Wasn't Just Miller's Story - Robert Kagan)

Thanks again, Truth Detector.
What would we do ... without you?
She used the name of the fake CIA company in that donation
heard it live and purposfully 'got lost' to keep driving so as to hear the end of the bit.
Yes. I'm missing the point. Did she have a fake name, too? Wasn't Valerie Wilson supposedly employed by Brewster-Jennings & Assoc?
Oooooooooh my goodness. I never thought of that! Excellent point!
Follow the red arrow to the circle. Lots of people speculate this is how Novak knew her name as 'Plame'.

Ditto
Okay--I read the article and now I want to Hurl. Barf-o- rama.
Hmmmmm. Born in 1949...OK, so how did Wilson manage to miss serving in Vietnam?
Anyone with a computer could associate Wilson and Flame. They lived together at the Watergate before they married(and before Joe divorced). http://cryptome.sabotage.org/plame-eyeball.htm
VALERIE PLAME - 2700 VA AVE NW, WASHINGTON, DC 20090 UNLISTED

That's interesting but strange way. It lists his first wife, a Susan Dale Otchis, married 1973, divorced 1986. Then skips forward to his marriage to Valerie Plame in 1998. It leaves out his marriage to the "former French diplomat" named Jaqueline. He was married to her for 12 years. Does anyone have any information on her? It seems really strange that the forged Niger papers come from the French and here we have Joe Wilson married for 12 years to a former French diplomat and he's trying to keep that covered up. Is there any connection?
Valarie Plame worked for Brewster-Jennings & Assoc
The fact that '1 in 10' believe that Bush people are guilty of a crime here; tells us that no matter how this pans out; the Libs are ahead in their own game. But how could they not be?
No credible White House response to the Lib/Left, WOT. . .that would be the MSM et al. . .with their aggregious assaults . . .their own 'contrived terror plots' against President Bush; his Administration; our Military and in total. . .against America.
Disgusted with the ' too late smart' Repubs and that includes President Bush.
What WERE they thinking when they watched this scenario go from a bad joke to a 'viable - depends on the meaning of viable - threat'?

Matt Cooper on the morning that Tenet's statement was released - "Rove told me material was going to be declassified in the coming days that would cast doubt on Wilson's mission and his findings."
Based on this TIME account, following the Walter Pincus article of June 12 there were lots of reporters asking lots of government officials about the Wilson trip. Newsday found "more than two dozen" journalists swept up in Fitzgerald's review of the administration contacts.
Pincus article:
Armed with information purportedly showing that Iraqi officials had been seeking to buy uranium in Niger one or two years earlier, the CIA in early February 2002 dispatched a retired U.S. ambassador to the country to investigate the claims, according to the senior U.S. officials and the former government official, who is familiar with the event. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity and on condition that the name of the former ambassador not be disclosed.
SSCI report (p. 41):
The CIA has told Committee staff that the former ambassador did not have a "formal" security clearance but had been given an "operational clearance" up to the Secret level for the purposes of his potential visit to Niger.
...DO officials told Committee staff that they promised the former ambassador that they would keep his relationship with CIA confidential, but did not ask the former ambassador to do the same and did not ask him to sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement. The former ambassador left for Niger on February 21, 2002.
oe Wilson--What I didn't find in Africa
"...Before I left Niger, I briefed the ambassador on my findings, which were consistent with her own. I also shared my conclusions with members of her staff. In early March, I arrived in Washington and promptly provided a detailed briefing to the C.I.A. I later shared my conclusions with the State Department African Affairs Bureau. There was nothing secret or earth-shattering in my report, just as there was nothing secret about my trip..."
Per the WaPo:
"Karl Rove, President Bush's deputy chief of staff, has testified that he learned Plame's name from Novak a few days before telling another reporter she worked at the CIA and played a role in her husband's mission, according to a lawyer familiar with Rove's account. Rove has also testified that the first time he saw the State Department memo was when "people in the special prosecutor's office" showed it to him, said Robert Luskin, his attorney.
"He had not seen it or heard about it before that time," Luskin said."

Also:
Wilson (as Ambassador to Gabon) had/has connections to the Gabon Chief of State, Omar Bongo, who was the chief African ally of the French oil company TotalFinaElf, a major beneficiary of the Oil-for-Food bribes. Prior to the Iraq War, they had a contract with Saddam's regime worth an estimated 12.5 to 27.0 billion barrels of oil reserves. Also he had connections via the Middle East Institute and Rock Creek, both of which are Saudi controlled.
Wilson's wife Jacqueline was also apparently a lobbyist for Bongo and it seems Wilson was pretty chummy with Saddam's weapons buyer, having dinner with him on the eve that Kuwait was invaded in 1990. That makes it very clear that there are connections to oil-for-food. No wonder Wilson can afford his lifestyle.
Joe contributed $2000 in his own name. They refunded $1000 to him per guidelines. Valerie contributed $1000 the same day Joe got his refund. It's her address that was the tipoff. It's a phony CIA address.
