original investigation complete - nada there. Now, after FBI spoke with neighbors of Wilson's last night, Fitzy needs more time to start the real prosecution of Joe & Val's big lie to congress & the GJ.
Your mouth to Gods ears.
IIRC Fitzgerald still reports to the AG and must seek approval of any indictments from him.
Likely...but also extremely likely Fitz will indict any and every member of the administration he can, "irregardlessly".
It's the old "some sh*t sticks to the wall" scenario, and the 'Rats need ammunition for the 2006 election cycle.
"... after FBI spoke with neighbors of Wilson's last night, Fitzy needs more time to start the real prosecution of Joe & Val's big lie to congress & the GJ."
This is an interesting take!
But .. if Joe and Val never testified before the GJ, can Fitz really go after them for lying to Congress ..?? Doesn't that have to be a contempt of Congress citation or something. The law in this case if very confusing.
Fitzgerald has a cheesesteak hoagie for lunch!
OK, here's my conspiracy theory.
Yesterday, in Italy, Rocco Martino (sp) admitted to Italian authorities that he was on the payroll of France.
It had been reported that Fitz had been in Italy within the past 2-3 weeks re: the forged Niger docs.
Wilson's second wife has been described as French and a "cultural attache" at the French embassy.
It has been reported that Wilson knew about the Niger docs being forged before it was in the public domain????????
The theory of rogue CIA in cahoots with Plame/Wilson and others seems to make a lot of sense now.
Fitz' meeting with Hogan is for an expansion of the investigation.
Heck, my wife always told me I should write a spy thriller!
That sounds good right now.
Amen Brother. Let the beatings begin on all Libs.
"... Fitz will indict any and every member of the administration he can, 'irregardlessly'."
That would be irresponsible on Fitz's part - and he has such a good reputation for applying the law - I don't see that happening. I don't see any member of the admin having committed a crime.
[...Fitzy needs more time to start the real prosecution of Joe & Val's big lie to congress & the GJ...]
Charges??? Conspiracy to destroy a Presidency. The Wilsons go to jail, while those of us who seek justice poise for more indictments of key CIA officials invovled in this plot.
Call me Pollyanna.
Who on earth cares what those idiots have to say - they're lunatics!
It's the end of the Grand Jury's term and he is reporting to the Chief Judge. I'd expect him to do that regardless of the outcome. It's premature orgasm in the MSM.
yes they are lunatics --- and they are the activist branch of the Democrat Party, so it pays to watch and laugh at them
Seymour Hersch wrote a piece in the NYT a year or so ago that claimed it was rumored that some disgruntled CIA folks created the fake docs tto try to discredit the war policy.
Yeah .. well .. so what else is new ..??
yes, the MSM is prematurely ejaculating
My question is this:
If the CIA plotted this whole thing against the Bush Administration, the question is WHY???? and isn't this TREASON?????
And isn't joe wilson a part of the CIA???? and why did he write a story about all this and said he 'wife' was a covert agent when she really wasn't?????
And who in their right mind would admit to someone standing at your door asking you if you knew your neighbor was an 'agent'????? Not me...lol
If Fitzgerald bamboozles the media and makes NO
indictments, maybe Bush should consider nominating HIM
for the Supreme Court! <>g<>
Joe testified- there is no record of Valerie testifying.
Reagan appointee. Hogan
they had a smoke together and talked about those stinking Astro's.........
From this list, I have a feeling that Novak source is Richard Armitage.
Breaking News; Fitzgerald broke wind after his lunch.
Now there's a thought I never had. Interesting take..
I've always had respect for Dick Armitage- seems to be a straight shooter. But then he had to go to State- where everyone's brains seem to turn to mush.
Whatever happens, Fitzgerald is a patriot.
Now being originally from Chicago and the burbs, I've known about Fitzgerald for quite a while. I have a friend who is in the FBI, out of Chicago, and was on the Terrorism Task Force, very high up, and he had nothing but good things to say about him. (Same guy involved in the Padilla case) The whole Chicago FBI Office was very happy to get Fitzgerald in 2001 according to my source.
Fitzgerald is a true patriot in my opinion, and has demonstrated his patriotism many times in the courtroom on behalf of The United States of America.
His prowess in battling Corruption in that liberal bastion of Chicago with daley (pathetic jerk), and the cronies is well documented.
Whatever happens in this investigation, this is one guy who I trust will do the right thing, whatever that turns out to be.
But what will the liberals do if Rove is NOT INDICTED....
No matter what, they will turn on this prosecutor, in my own opinion, like there is no tomorrow. Even if I. Lewis Libby is indicted, which is still questionable, there will be no shortage of liberal bias and going after this patriot of a prosecutor.
The liberals will be looking for blood, and Fitzgerald will then become the target in my own opinion.
Stay tuned folks, this is getting interesting. I can't wait for the dem implosion, which almost always comes, and I will also have something to say once the investigation is over.
A plausible case for a rogue CIA/French conspiracy against the President and his adminstration.
My own take on this affair is a bit more mundane: Wilson gets involved in the anti-war crowd and Kerry's camapaign. Little wifey tells Joe about goings on at work. Joe uses these tidbits in talks to make himself sound more important. Novak writes article noting that Joe's wife is with the CIA. Joe gets mightily worried. To leak secrets from the CIA is a big no-no for both little wife and prospective Kerry Sec State Joe W. Joe goes to attack. MSM and CIA follow suit.
Don't forget that Sandy Burglar not only stole classifed documents, but he destroyed some! I think destroying them gets lost in what crimes he did.
LMAO..yes..we now know what's in Rove's garage but:
I don't think it is his REAL house. Wasn't he driving a sweet Mercedes when he left the grand jury a few days back? Where does he park it? Not in that full one-car garage in that DECOY suburban home. I don't think the media would be able to contain themselves from revealing where Rove truly lived, if they knew.
LOL! KARL ROVE, you ROCK! I love it...
Fitzgerald knows he will be cruxified if he fails to indict anyone.
We don't know that person's name yet.
[...If Fitzgerald bamboozles the media and makes NO
indictments, maybe Bush should consider nominating HIM
for the Supreme Court!...]
Ooooooh! I like the way you think. Now the questions. Did he ever write any opinions, work for a President, join a radical college organization? Where does he land on abortion? Was his FBI file in that pile on the Clinton's dining room table?
Sorry for the rant. I feel like I'm watching my country go down like the Hindenberg.
Dick Armitage was Powell's co-hort and was anti-Bush.
I know he was Powell's deputy, but he still seemed like a reasonable man.
This is why the libbies protested Porter Goss's appointment to head the CIA. Of course, they'd protest a hanging with a new rope! They didn't want anyone firing/snooping in on the CIA set-up that they've managed to cobble together with Wilson/Plame's assistance. I hope Goss is throttling the bad guys in the CIA. This is one scary mess...to think that Americans in the CIA don't give a damn about our national security. My biggest fear is that it's far worse than wanting to just take down a president, which is bad enough.
I don't think the C.J. has much to do substantively with the Grand Jury process, but I suppose he could offer some friendly advice if Fitz was proposing to do something off the wall.
If that were to happen within a week he would be left of Castro because that RINO Bush picked him.
Pray for W and Our Troops

Like GW, Robert and John F. Kennedy tried to reign in the CIA. The rest is history. Now that's scary.
