Those ain't yankee states. Ohio maybe, but not the rest.
Bush has that Texas accent he perfected. Clinton had a little bit of one. Carter talked southern, as did LBJ. Doesn't seem to me like you need to talk like a yankee.
It doesn't to me either
but to the many Haley basher's on FR (and there
are plenty of them I promise you)
The fact that he is overweight and has a southern
drawl are two of their biggest complaints.

Well I didn't post the photogenic part.
All I merely said was that he was good as Governor but don't see him as President, and that is because it has more to do with leadership than appearance.
Governor's don't always make good Presidents. Exception, Reagan!

And even being from Tx you don't include George W Bush?

Who is Oliver Stanley? I never read this rag anymore, and am surprised at a postive read on a Republican.
Stick to topics that you would know something about!!!!!!!!
A story like this - ANY story about what a great candidate someone would make is the kiss of death. Steer clear. Others will jump on this band wagon in their haste to be the first to have put the individual's name forward...You catch my drift.
Anyone governor who enjoys a Maker's Mark for a nightcap is alright in my book.

What ever it takes
I would have voted for you but I wasn't quite old enough.
:>)
I would never do that to you!!
I appreciate that. LBJ had some dead people who voted for him.
I would never do that to you!!
Thanks I'll keep that in mind.
I notice that you keep up with your southern neighbors
politics. :>)
I live in the area, and I have been watching Haley for yesrs. My main concern about him is that he is an Ole Miss grad, re Trent Lott and Shep Smith. Ha ha ha ha
I lived on the MS/Tenn. border for 30 years. Whatever was going on in MS affected me, as I shopped, went to church and my husband worked there.
