This is yet another reason why I insist that my children learn to shoot as well. Shooting 101 is a requirement for graduation from our homeschool.

My kids are all in Tae Kwon Do but my son does know how to shoot a gun, as well. The girls also need to spend some time at the gun range but we haven't done that, yet.

Just so I understand Paul completely, he's chastising parents that want to protect their children from the practice of perversion as "abuse" and then says he "doesn't give a damn about children"? Have I got that right? Paul...between your documented pro-homosexual and pro-trangenderism support on FR you manage to belittle parent's who don't share your zeal for those chosen lifestyles? How you've lasted on a Conservative web forum is truly a mystery to me.

In order to shed some light on his abhorrent attitude, it seems reasonable (based upon what he's revealed of himself) that his sentiment could be rephrased thusly: "I had my childhood innocence stolen from me, so it's only fair that they have theirs stolen from them. What was done unto me should be done unto all others (children)."
No that is what DirtyHarryY2K in his twisted mind wants you to think.
What I am talking about is it is wrong to shelter a child for the dangers of the world, like not informing, through censorship, a child of how that child can go be hurt if he or she is not careful. Liberals do this all the time with their children and that is why we have so many psychotic doves in this country who hate the U.S. and love terrorists.

It would be nice if parents could inform and instruct children of dangers such as the perverve depravity of homosexuality and NOT have the enlightened moral liberal homosexual activists attempt to counter the moral teaching with self serving lies based in evil...

What you're saying is you think it's wrong to shelter a child via censorship. What I'm saying (I can't speak for everybody) is that parents should have the ability to censor what their children are exposed to. I don't think censor is the best word to use here - I'm only using it because you did.
Parents should have the ability to protect the minds of their children. That is, parents should be able to keep their children innocent as long as possible. Parents are best fit to know when each child (it's different for every child) is ready to know more about the world around them.
From what you've said, it appears you're under the impression some parents will never tell their children about important life issues. That's certainly not my position and I don't get that impression from reading what other parents have said here.
An issue that's important to me is the issue of homosexuality. My boys will someday know all they need to know about homosexuality, but for now they don't need to know anything about homosexuality, and I certainly don't want them to hear about it from somebody else. It's a full time job keeping our children innocent as long as possible, but it's well worth it.
Also, it appears some of us are baffled (and I'm one of 'em) at your comment in post 78:

At least you understand what I am talking about, instead of having their minds in the gutter.
And about you question, just think of how many acts of tyranny the liberals have done to us with the excuse being of "for the children".

You need to take a closer look at the link/picture on post 113. Note the statement I made at the bottom is from another thread. DirtyHarryY2K is a liar who will twist statements out of context to fit his views.
