Katrina Relief Money Spent On Impeachment Buses

Some more on the Veterans For Peace and their Katrina relief grift. Here they spell out how money donated to help hurricane victims has been spent on buses for their campaign to overthrow our elected government.

These are emails collected by one of our indefatigable researchers:

Hi :-)

Jim is still at Washington D.C., 703-237-4296 (at his friends place). He will be there probably until this weekend. I'm still trying to see what we can do with the bus. We need the bus to stop this war, but we also need to work together with other people. That is where I'm at right now. We must re-group as we can't afford to lose the momentum to STOP this WAR.

Thanks,

I have lost contact with Jim and the bus. I'm not sure what he is doing now that the rally is over. Perhaps Beatriz Saldivar or Bill Mitchell know Jim's plans for the bus. It's a good idea for the VFP to use "magnetic signs" so they won't have to cover up their paint jobs in the future. Like they are doing here when they were trying to convince people in Covington that they were with the Red Cross.

So was the bus Mother Sheehan and her entourage took to Washington paid for by Katrina relief donations? It sure sounds like it.

Just to play devil's advocate here for a second. That sentence can easily be construed as they are using their funds they set aside to go down and "assist" with Katrina relief efforts, as opposed to money that was raised directly for Katrina victims.

Their organization has been soliciting donations under the guise of using them for Katrina victims and propose quite clearly above that the approval to spend from these funds to purchase a bus has been assured; re-read the entire post.

Frankly, I don't think a locomotive would help them as they are too far off track already.

You're absolutely right.

Note to "indefatigable researcher" - more research is needed.

"That sentence can easily be construed as they are using their funds they set aside to go down and "assist" with Katrina relief efforts, as opposed to money that was raised directly for Katrina victims."

I have no idea what sentence you are referencing. This is a series of emails exchanged under the topic: "Re: Donations for hurricane victims-BUS"

The VFP had no funds to set aside before they started their Katrina relief scam. During which they raised by their own accounts anywhere from $500K to a million dollars. They didn't get that money by asking for people to buy them buses.

"Note to "indefatigable researcher" - more research is needed."

Be my guest. You could start by reading the material more closely and getting up to speed.

Incredible research. Please keep it up. I will be delighted if Sheehan is indicted for wire fraud.

Lots of phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and other information in those notes.

Perhaps research can be done on each one to see where their hearts really lie?

One looks like she is from Austin and does translations as her job. Wonder if her customers know how she hates America?
