These senators Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Maria Cantwell, Barack Obama, Russ Feingold, Daniel Akaka, Frank Lautenberg, Joe Lieberman, Carl Levin, John F. Kerry, Chris Dodd, Pat Leahy and Jon Corzine swore an oath. By their failure to enforce the intent of our immigration laws, they are in violation of their oath and should be charged with impeachment of office.

Why amnesty is now necessary for illegal aliens is beyond my tolerance and understanding. Humans in need should be provided with basic emergency helps regardless of who they are in the country but if and when someone is identified as illegal alien, they should answer for their illegal behavior. Just because a storm/emergency occured is no reason to provide "amnesty" and the two issues are not even related here.

Because, amnesty is not necessary to provide anyone with a bed, a shower, clean and dry clothes, basic accommodations and food/medical care on an emergency basis for some interim time but a person's legal/illegal status should be identified early on to prevent American dollars aiding illegal aliens, AND, if an illegal alien is here, they should be deported.

And all of them who took off for Mexico prior to the storms should not be allowed to just drive back whenever.

This situation is beyond absurd. Illegal aliens need to be shown the door and that does not mean they should not be shown compassion or should be shown intolerance for emergency, humane needs, but the illegal alien presence has to be resolved.

Amnesty "just because" ideas indicate pitiful pandering, in my opinion, and Hillary Clinton is doing just that: foolishly pandering. Chertoff, well, he is, too.

I don't know if we need anything from Congress right now - a good start would be the executive branching recognizing how seriously their constituents feel about border secuity and start enforcing existing laws.

Then maybe congress can jump on the bandwagon if they want and pass some better immigration bills, maybe increase legal immigration if we could ever get rid of the ilegals.

Illegal is her middle name, after Jezebel. Her husband, Ahab, slipped protocols of Sustainable Development (Agenda 21) into the U.S. after Congress turned it down. He gave U.S. military technology to China and bedded them down in the Lincoln bedroom. Then he had Jamie Gorelick isolate our intelligence agencies from eachother so Osama's crazies could fly our people into our people and then they put Jamie Gorlick on the 9/11 Commission to investigate herself!

Illegal is the word for both of them. So what's new?

They should seek help but the idea that they're supposed to be suddenly deemed not responsible for their illegal presence just because a storm (storms, rather) occured is nonsensical and irritatingly so. Again, it's the political mind here pandering to illegality and trying to rationalize continuing it, "just because."

There is NO REASON that the U.S. cannot establish shelters for illegal aliens to receive basic helps, just as they have for citizens. But the plan needs to include appropriate answering for their actions for illegal aliens. If they need help, give them the basics but I'd like to know what the morality and logic is here for "amnesty" to be included in the care packages.

The care packages are aid enough by the country for people responsible for illegalities that they SHOULD be held accountable for. I realize this upsets Vicente Fox but so what.

Don't underestimate Hillary, no matter how much you dislike her politics (trying to be civilized here but it's killing me). My guess is that she's had research done that determined that illegal aliens will outnumber citizens plus legal immigrants by 2008. Now that's a scary thought.

This is a direct bid to illegal aliens: I'll give you taxpayer's money if you will vote for me.

By 08 illegal aliens will probably be the only ones still likely to vote for Hillary.

I sometimes feel that if it were not for vote fraud Democrats would receive fewer votes than any of the other minority parties.

It is now recognized that vote fraud in favor of Democrats is now so widespread that there ought to be some kind of means testing to vote. At the very least, citizenship should be required.

Someone suggested that a certified copy of last year's Income tax return should be used as identification at the polls.
