yep - had to suspend planting the winter veggies with that storm quickly blowing in too. Fortunately, none of the avocados were knocked out of the tree.

I just wish I lived on the direct path to the water treatment plant. I would have lights already. They are going down the priority list and well I'm low on that list.

"Statement as of 5:30 am EDT on October 3, 2005

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...

...A large but disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms... associated with a westward-moving tropical wave and an upper-level trough...is located a few hundred miles east of the central Bahamas. Thunderstorm activity has become a little more concentrated this morning... and upper-level winds are expected to gradually become more conducive for tropical cyclone development during the next couple of days as this system moves westward. Elsewhere... tropical storm formation is not expected through Tuesday.

Those were some interesting storm cells that blasted westward across the state yesterday. Watching that wave east of the Bahamas.

Yes, bands from Stan, I guess. I could tell he was becoming a storm before I saw it on the WC, by the sudden strengthening of the easterlies here.

52,000 posts on Katrina is kind of stuning!

I finally took down a bunch of shutters, hope that wave to the east doesn't make me have to put them all back up. For one thing, they are mildewed, and handling them kills my sinuses for days. Have to get a better system.

I loved hearing the weather man a little while ago....

The low that was thought to go across So FL into the Gulf, , , ,

well we were wrong!

LOL

Not often we hear that.

Where are those duck shoes?
