As the inclination increases for a geosynchronous orbit, the ground trace of the orbit on the Earth plots a figure eight (8) pattern. If it's in a synchronous orbit inclined to the equator, shouldn't the ground track be a straight line?

If it's in a synchronous orbit inclined to the equator, shouldn't the ground track be a straight line?Crosstrack purtubations cause the figure eight centered on the subpoint. As that crosstrack error increased the figure eight gets larger as well.
