WASHINGTON (AP) - A Texas grand jury on Wednesday charged Rep. Tom DeLay and two political associates with conspiracy in a campaign finance scheme, an indictment that could force him to step down as House majority leader.
The AP could not wait to even wipe the drool from their mouth, to get this one on the wire.
While the MSM is already implying his guilt, the courts will determine that.
How come we can never get rid of the criminals in the Democrat party, like Bill and Huillary Clinton, but Republicans cannot even get past fake media scandals?

Is there a Republican pol that this guy hasn't gone after? How many people know that a grand jury is a rubber stamp in the hands of a partisan prosecutor.
Hastert recommends Drier (R- Ca) to replace him.
That being said, I'll wait to see the details of the charges and responses since, as is well known, an indictment from a Grand Jury is very, very far from any proved case.
Noticing the statement "could force him to step down as house majority leader" is loaded....he has to TEMPORARILY step ASIDE under the rules of the House. Tomorrows headline..."Delay Steps Down"
The lovely Ronnie Earle strikes again. What a farce. This will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend. Bottom line here is that Delay is just too damn effective for the crooked Democrats to tolerate. Think Newt.
Meanwhile, Judith Miller is still in jail "protecting" her source. Is anyone in the media the least bit interested in finding out who she's protecting?
Ronnie Earle. No surprise.
Isn't there a rule that says they don't haveta have someone who is actually serving in office? They could name Newt!.....
This is pure political hatchetwork, plain and simple.
Hillary Klintoon.........
Ronnie Earle is the only Democrat in the state of Texas with any power to harass Republicans and this is what he is doing. He tried to nail Kay Bailey Hutchinson soon after she became U.S. Senator and the charges were virtually laughed out of court.
Still, the Dems and the MSM got what they wanted which was to get Delay out of power, at least temporarily and to taint his name.
"too close to the wind" - Lay down with fleas, you get dogged.......
DRUDGE Siren:
Delay Indighted - MUST RESIGN LEADERSHIP
Next target?........Drier?........
TX RATS haven't forgotten or forgiven DeLay for what they perceived as being at fault for having to lose some members during congressional redistricting. Remember when the RATS ran to different states to keep from having a quorum 'cause they didn't want to lose any districts or representation due to the census. Remember: RATS don't feel like they should have to follow the rules. Rules only apply to the pubbies.
Again? This is the same partisan democrat who tried to get him last year. The prosecutor should be the one in jail.
Is this a common practice in Texas? ..........

Very simple answer. Because the Repubs ARE NOT FIGHTERS. They are wimps. And the radical Dems know they can walk all over them, with the help of the corrupt MSM. Once the Repubs learn how to fight (pipe dream) and fight back as hard as the rotten Dems do, then things will mellow out. Not until.
It' sbeen on-going eversince then. GJ just wrapped up.......
On the other hand, if he was a Dem,,,this site would have him in prison already.
Welcome to FR. Now go home to DU..........
I totally agree. I am not a big fan of Delay. He just comes across in a bad way, in addition to what you mentioned. It'd be nice to get some people like George Allen in leadership positions...
BTTT.
I was thinking the same thing. And it's nauseating how they're all salivating over it.
