Event Moderator Gar Alperovitz, a professor at the University and the founder of the Democracy Collaborative, told students that Sheehan was not well. "She's in the back and very, very ill and I think also upset so she's not going to be coming back."

It appears that our favorite self-obsessed, extraordinarily unattractive Jesse-hugger has been added to the roster of Speaking Matters, LLC, who provide speakers for colleges and other likely leftist mother lodes. During a disastrous appearance at the University of Maryland last night, Cindy apparently became so upset she left before the question-and-answer session could begin, and refused to go back onstage. (This is my first post. Please take it easy on me if it's not perfect)

"I love doing this and I do it for free," Sheehan continued. She said she has been spending her own money to travel around the country in recent weeks to rally opposition to the war in Iraq. All those who believe that raise your hand...anyone...anyone.
That's what I thought.
Jihad Cindy, answering the age old question "How high can you stack a pile of feces?"

Didn't some letter the other day say that Cindy had originally been contacted by the Kerry campaign last year and that's when she began to get political? If that's true, I'm sure they could have hooked her onto some source of funds...

She reminds me of one of those women who's always been a martyr in some way or another.
"I was in labor 35 hours with you!"
"I worked 4 jobs to put my husband through college." etc.
And suddenly, she's the mother of a fallen soldier.
OH MY!
Talk about attention! She's an addict to it.

Nice find from the college newspaper.
"He didnt believe in the war, she said, but went to fulfill his duty. He said, The sooner I leave, the sooner Ill come back. He only left home for two weeks before we got his body home in a flag-draped coffin, Sheehan said."
Now thats's a damn lie. He re-uped to get away from her.

Hi, the school newspaper has an interesting article at the diamondbackonline.com
To: CaliGirlGodHelpMe
University of Maryland English professor Marilee Lindemann said she fully supports Sheehan making money from her speaking engagements. "She's given extraordinarily of herself, of her time," she said, "and I will point out that she sacrificed her child in service to this country."
She SACRIFICED her CHILD !!! Someone needs to alert the media--it appears Cindy Sheehan KILLED her minor-age son! That's murder!! At the least, it looks like she FORCED him into the Army, when he was not able to sign up for himself. This is indeed an outrage and it will not stand!
No, wait, Casey was an adult who volunteered for duty.....and re-enlisted. That's a bit of a different spin on it ain't it?
Cindy, sit down, shut up, go peddle your wares somewhere else. Oh, and BTW enjoy your time in prison when you are convicted for tax evasion. I won't be sending flowers.
To: CaliGirlGodHelpMe
I suspect that she became ill because due to some glitch in the audio system she could actually hear how annoying and condescending she sounds.

Convenient that, leaving before the Q&A part of the evening. Some of her fans might've asked her about being paid for her protestations and her non-fans might've had some other more searing queries. I hadn't realized she is spending Casey's insurance money as she denigrates him.

To: Rebelbase
From the Link:
She said her contract with Speaking Matters, which has not yet disclosed how much a Sheehan appearance will cost, will help her "finally make some money ...'cause Casey's insurance money's going to run out pretty soon."
One student who supports Sheehan's activism said she thinks "it's admirable that she's not making any money, it shows that her incentives are true."
So, is she making money, or not making money???
Oh, and using Casey's insurance money....my head is about to friggin explode! If Casey could turn over in his grave any faster, he could generate his own power.
God Bless Casey Sheehan!

Last night, she spent majority of her time sharing her story about her fallen son Casey, who was an eagle scout growing up and loved theatre. He didnt believe in the war, she said, but went to fulfill his duty. He said, The sooner I leave, the sooner Ill come back. He only left home for two weeks before we got his body home in a flag-draped coffin, Sheehan said.
She cannot resist the Stalinist urge to continually rewrite history as if no one notices.
Now she says Casey Sheehan did not believe in the war. Next she'll say that he was kidnapped by Bush operatives and forced at gunpoint to reenlist in the middle of the war, and that he was ordered to go on his final ission instead of volunteering.
She's clinically insane scum.

Best quote from that article, from a student justifying Sheehan getting paid to speak:
Hanford said, "and she's lost any income that her son might have brought her." Do mothers normally get income from their sons? What does that mean?
Of course, we know that she has been living off her son's death benefit (lucky for Cindy that he hadn't gotten married yet, how would she survive otherwise?)
How many parents have hundred-thousand+ insurance policies on their GROWN children?
Cindy says that now the money is running out, so she needs to be paid since she can't work while she was doing this. And here I was hoping that when she finally bled her son dry, she would have to move on with her life.
