I watched The Supernatural and recorded (haven't watched yet) CiC.

If CiC intends to stay with the 'East Wing' matters --- touchy-feely stuff -- it might only draw the Oprah crowd. It could face a short run.

It'll be interesting to see a breakdown on the ratings. Even if this does well, if it's only in the red bits they're preaching to the converted.

For those of us who missed it, I'm sure ABC will have an encore presentation.

Is it me, or does Geena Davis have a deeper voice than John Madden? Not only that, but when she said, "I'm honored to be the first female actor to play the first female president on TV," to Al and John in the MNF booth, it made about as much sense as Madden.

As I've said before, the only memorable thing that Geena did on-screen was give birth to a maggot in "The Fly."

[T]he only way this show can be made believable is if she acts like a republican and the only way it will win a ratings battle is if she acts like Bush.

Shows like this are not about ratings. Entertainment companies do not put profits as their highest goals. I truly believe that. This show will push an agenda for far longer than the ratings justify. This is guided by a purpose.

And finally as long as Donald Sutherland drawls on que, you might as well throw a sheet over his head and call him Senator Bird(Byrd) any american with half a ounce of grey matter between their ears will know who he is really acting like.

You know that. I know that. But poll most Americans and ask them what party gave us Bull Connor, George Wallace, Jim Crow, Vietnam Escalation and fought against the 1964 Civil Rights Act and they will say "Republicans -- like that Donald Sutherland character on TV"

House - my favorite show. If it's slated to go up against House -- it's doomed.

Every one knows Republicans are the heavy. Liberals are sweet, lovable folks with good intentions. Its like Hollywood's operating in an alternate universe. The truth is exactly the reverse of the Tinseltown stereotypes.

In the 30 seconds I watched of this show, I caught the unsubtle reference (the author omits this) to all of the "gates" of the past, including "WMD gate", the fictional scandal that the left clings to as a cause for impeaching Bush. I guess if you're Hollywood and you can't actually win the Presidency, you can always pretend you're the President, right?

West Wing is known for its liberal politics but it doesn't go over the top with it. If this show is intended as a female version of WW, its not exactly breaking new ground.

Actually I take it a step further, the only way Hillary can win is if she acts like Bush.

If this show is to be that Hillary infomercial everyone thinks it will be then The C-i-C will have to act just like Bush to build the illusion, a strategery doomed to failure.

"So who advertised on this thing, anyone know?"

We need a list of the sponsors so we can write in and complain. Shall we start a boycott?

I don't know about an official boycott, but I personally won't touch those advertisers with a ten foot pole. I was just curious about which companies were giving aid and comfort to Hilliary.

Isn't there something in the Constitution which bans any President with a "beam" so broad that she has to exit Air Force One sideways?

"Just think, for Hillary to win our candidate would have to be even worse."

The Clintons will try to use the same ploy as before. They will run a third party candidate, a RINO with a big, big ego. Umm, McCain?

Next Episode: Madame president taps for Vice President Sixties radical Peter Coyote (a Mumia Abu-Jamal fan who questioned whether we should retaliate for 9/11 and supported the presidential campaign of Dennis Kucinich) – but evil Republicans spike the choice.

LOL. And I thought it was a drama, not a comedy show!

In real life of course a Republican President would never nominate a liberal as his veep and certainly not a woman who's credentials were just looking pretty. Then again its fascinating to observe how liberals in Hollywood get away with blatant sexism.

Donald Sutherland, Hollywood warrior:

"We will use the guns you forced upon us...to defend our very lives, and the menace to our lives does not lie on the other side of a no-man’s land set apart without our consent. It lies within our own boundaries...Put the guns into our hands, and we will use them...Give us the slogans, and we’ll turn them into realities...And we will live..."

"Now bring me another Mimosa, Julio; a little less orange juice this time. After that, clean the pool filters and get a start on the hedges."

I was made to wonder if the show wants to project that Hillary WILL act to protect a single black woman and child - using the military.

An interesting dig at lib-response to Katrina.
An interesting 'pro-life' statement.
An interesting 'diversity' statement.
An interesting 'pro-military' statement.

Sure does leave one wondering what strings are being pulled, doesn't it?
