Four Central Florida middle school students were arrested Monday for allegedly ripping off the clothes off classmates and then snapping photos with their cell phones, according to a Local 6 News report.
Investigators said the boys, ages 12, 13 and 14 years old, attacked the girls Friday at Tavares Middle School in Lake County, Fla., in the back of a school bus. The boys then allegedly groped the girls and took pictures of them.
Cell phone video allegedly showed one of the girls screaming for help while the boys touch her breasts, according to the report.
Police said the attack continued after the boys got off the bus when they pulled another girl by her hair. When she fell, detectives said they put their hands up her skirt.
Detectives said it is a crime that comes close to being rape, Local 6 reporter Jessica Sanchez reported.
"You forcibly hold someone down, you remove their clothing, you are fondling that person -- if these children had been adults, this is a crime, if convicted, they would be labeled sex offenders for the rest of their lives," Lake County sheriff's Sgt. Christie Mysinger said.
Police said two of the boys have confessed to taping the attacks with their cell phones, Local 6 News reported.
Also, police are looking at surveillance video from the school bus.
All of the boys face felony charges.

I thought it was illegal or at least against the policy of most news organizations to post photos of minors accused of crimes.

The schoolbus driver said that he didn't notice the assault. There was a video camera inside the bus, but the video if any has not been released.

My sixth grade bus driver was a tough old battle axe named Miss Hutto.

And the lunches are $1.20 here in So CA. You have to fill out a passel of forms to qualify for a free lunch, supposedly, but our last name (English but sounds "ethnic" like Spanish or Asian) seemed to get our son an automatic free lunch pass. We refused it and reported it, but how many people don't? For each "free lunch" kid, the school and district get more $. So how could they pass up a name like ours?
At least these boys weren't reading the Bible at recess...

Doesn't give me any more respect for them though; it would only have lowered my opinion of them further if I hadn't been able to find anything.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that most of these kids' fathers don't even know that they produced spawn. Nor do they care. They got some action one night, then moved on.

There doesn't seem to be any reference to where the driver was during all the mayhem.
I hope they get the book thrown at them, and their parents, to the fullest extent of the law possible.

A boy at a private high school was known for walking up behind girls and lifting their skirts. It happened more than once. I wrote the dean and told him it was an obvious case of assault - he better stop it. My question was why the kid got away with it more than once.
That was 15 years ago.
