Greenpeace takes role in wind debate (Enviro-whackos vs. Limousine Liberals)

Even for Greenpeace, a group known for turning high-seas drama into political statement, the foray into the Nantucket Sound wind farm debate has played like perfect theater.

Take, for instance, the picture-postcard morning of Aug. 17, when a pair of Greenpeace motorboats surrounded a schooner crammed with wind farm opponents, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It was a made-for-TV face-off that, indeed, was reported on the national news that night.

But for Greenpeace, a $360 million organization that spends about $3.3 million each year on U.S. campaigns, ongoing efforts for the Cape Wind project transcend interrupting a Kennedy sail.

Today, the group begins a four-day public tour of the Cape and islands aboard the Arctic Sunrise, a 163-foot icebreaker they use to research climate change. It's the latest event in a summer-long campaign in this region.

Despite a large oil spill in their own state by a barge en route to fuel an oil-fired power plant in Sandwhich, Mass that powers their mansions, the Limousine Liberals (Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bobby Kennedy Jr., et al) of Nantucket still refuse to support the Cape Wind offshore wind farm.

If we could just come up with a way to generate electricity from the motion of liberals jaws when they are ballyhooing, they'd shut up.

Has anyone checked out the Greenpeace claim that the gulfstream is slowing down?

Supposedly the salinity or slight PH change from extra cap melt effecting same?

If there were justice in the world, every wealthy leftwing kook with ocean front property would see this view from every window:

Arianna Huffington, the woman who fueled the anger toward SUVs with her "Detroit Project," is caught in a big gas guzzling SUV after delivering her keynote speech to the Sierra Club in San Francisco.

Cronkite,Kennedy,Kerry,Carly Simon(no doubt) are more concerned with their property values than the environment.

Yet more proof that for the Left,it's always been about the Benjamins.

Even back in the '60s!

I recently learned that the polar ice caps on Mars are melting.

Must be Halliburton!

The sun is hot this year.

I find the hypocrisy of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be particularly annoying. He would have the rest of us giving up our cars, homes and standard of living but arrives in limos, flies on private jets and doesn't want his view spoiled by this environmentally pristine wind farm.

The wind farm might be visible with field glasses a few days every month.

Liberals have a very low inconvenience tolerance.
