LONDON, September 22 (IranMania) - EU military attaches walked out in protest at a parade in Tehran Thursday after ballistic missiles were rolled past carrying vitriolic anti-US and Israeli slogans, diplomats told AFP.

"There was a common position among the European Union members that, if the military parade included any slogans that attacked our allies, we would leave," said a diplomat.

"The military attaches from the embassies of France, Italy, Greece and Poland were present at the parade, and when they saw the slogans they promptly left," said another diplomat.

At the parade, Iran showed off six of its Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missiles sporting banners reading "Death to America", "We will crush America under our feet", "Death to Israel" and "Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth".

"They may be just slogans, but for us they are unacceptable," one of the diplomats said.

The military event was held just south of Tehran to mark the start of "Sacred Defence Week", dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of Iranians killed after the forces of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein invaded in It also coincided with mounting tensions between Iran and the EU over Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

I really like those red and white ones, they look so real!
They are on carrages that are on dollies that are on flatbeds....so impressive.

Only the last one looked like it was real, almost a direct
copy of a German WW.II A-4 , those Iranians are so clever.

I liked the pic of Goober and Gomer saluting too.

Btw, Tie is forbidden under the Islamic regime dress code

hmmm didn't know that.

Still, if I was a soldier who had to dress up and parade in the hot sun all day I would hope that the guy reviewing me wouldn't look like he was dressed for casual Friday.

Shows that they aren't worried about what the rank-and-file Iranian soldier thinks anyways.

OK, I'll bite. Why?

Because ties are worn by creatures whose parents were able to walk upright.

May their camels reject their amorous advances. May their breath have the sweetness of donkey flatulance. May they end their days in a glass ashtray. Death to America??? WRONG!!! Death FROM America.

Any comments from Jimmy Carter who unleashed all those madmen by dropping the Shah, a true U.S. loyalist.
Khomeini came in from France, took over, U.S. Embassy prisoners came next, and Jimmy got ditched by Reagan.
Jimmy Carter's legacy however is still visible.

A cruise missile carrying a nuclear warhead and flown down the street at treetop level with a slogan of AMF written on it would be appropriate.

Yes, the Mullahs destroyed the discipline among soldiers, NCOs and Officers of their own armed services. Military Discipline doesn't exist any more in the Mullahs' armed forces.

Once they had a briliant and neat armed forces in 1970s but now it is just crap and useless!

off the topic, but all his soldiers put on their spit-and-polish best...and this guy can't be bothered to wear a tie even?

Or even shave for that matter.

That figures. The moment I laid eyes on him I knew he was the offspring of the best argument for evolution I had seen in my entire lifetime...he just arrived late.

Hey Freddie, I couldn't get my system to download that video but I think I remember it from The History Channel. The Iranian parade is very reminiscent of any number of Soviet parades.

Better get your fan, because I think the manure is flying soon.
