Whew, that's a weight of the shoulders. I've been out of my mind with worry over the date for years.

Quick send them a photo of the astronauts allegedly walking on the moon and see if it's really on the moon!

My uncle was a navel surgeon in WWII.I understand that, for the first time, untold thousands could see where they were going, thanks to the glass navels he installed for them.
He should have gotten a Nobel in medicine for that.

"researchers believe Adams pressed the shutter on September 15, 1948 at 7:03 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time"
Jeez these guys are good.
I would have been happy with "7 PM"! Or even "1948"
Um, who wanted to know this again?

In High School a photograph was the only date I could get!
She wasn't famous and the staples on her navel certainly could get in the way unless I blurred my eyes a little.

Why do you think the remaining guys are all sitting down?

LOL! Whenever I visit Glacier Point, I love to hop the rail and walk out onto that rock. I'm not worried about falling (it's a 10 ton solid granite block sitting on a solid granite shelf), but the reaction from the onlooking tourists is ALWAYS priceless. A third assume that I'm about to jump, a third are HOPING that I'm about to jump, and the other third are usually just positive that I'm an idiot who's going to fall.
This past summer I was finally pulled aside by a ranger who succeeded in talking me out of trying it again. He wasn't worried about me falling...he admitted to walking out there a half dozen times himself and knew how solid the spot was...but he was worried that some kid might see me do it and try it himself. If that kid slipped...well, it's a long way down. This past summers walk to Hanging Rock was probably my last.

What happened to the fourth man? My great uncle Tim "Pancake" Lord slipped out the frame just before the picture was taken.
