Red "Crescent of Embrace" chosen for Flight 93 Memorial

The memorial to these Heroes of flight 93 must not be a Muslim "Red Crescent of Embrace".

I just called my Senators and Congressman, I urge all Freepers to do the same.

More info from my husband, who's from the area and reads the Gazzette - the original article here, and today's article about a preacher who is outraged as we:

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05252/568657.stm

It's really sad that VICTIMS of this outrage (it's not a tragedy - Katrina is a tragedy, this was an outrage) are hailing this as a wonderful memorial. Sorry, they are wrong.

Thanks, although it's MORE important to track down the idiots who voted for this thing. The only hope on the artist's end would be that they'd withdraw it - fat chance, esp. if the idiot bigwigs press him/her to keep it going.

And the "*red* crescent" indeed is what is used as their "Red Cross". (Even while Int'l Red Cross won't let the Israeli Red Star into their org, they let those Crescents in. Divergent topic but couldn't resist, sorry.)

"Regardless how you meant that, it is wrong. Allah is NOT great. Allah is a demon. "

From my study, I'd conclude that in your statement you're both right and wrong.

First, I'd say you are right that Allah is a demon, as he is in fact, I firmly believe, Satan.

Second, he is "great" in as much as he has influence over billions of souls. The Bible itself calls him "Lord of the air", acknowledging that he has free reign among those not protected by the Spirit of the one true God.

This is the same line of thinking that went into the so-called museum for the 9-11 memorial. I wonder how strained some of that applause was...

Yeah, I guess the Holocaust museum should be redesigned in a Swastika motif to effect some healing too. /sarcasm

Well, as far as I understand it the ackbar statement is really saying he's the greatest, not just great, but the greatest. Wrong.

Ohh, yummy.
No, I can think of an even worse desecration to those dead terrorists whose ashes are molded into the shale. Let's erect a cross.

The idea of the Crescent of Embrace, Murdoch said, is to be a gesture of healing and bonding

Gee, why can't we all just get along? Kumbaya.

Did you read the Post article I posted, today's about the preacher against this?

And from the original article (linked that too - it's not shown in OP), victim's families were happy about it.

The artists claim it's not a Moslem symbol.

Fine.

But obviously the 1st reaction of many is and will be that it IS a Moslem symbol. I don't care if the actual victims think it's lovely (that is the defense the artists and the a$$es who picked it will use), the truth is for most it will look too much like appeasing the Moslem bastards who committed this.

(Of course, the fact that the artists talked of "healing" and "embracing" begs the question of "forgiving" and "getting along". And we all know what that means - it really IS a Moslem symbol!)

MODIFY THE DESIGN, or GET RID OF IT. It SMELLS like a slap in the face even if it ain't meant so, so don't PUSH IT, you idiots who picked this and made it.

The artists are lying. Of course it's an allusion to Islam and the moon God allah. Evidenced by the slogan: "Healing and Bonding".

Bonding with who/what?

I say let's name it the Red Croissant!
