You finally admit your comment was an exaggeration. No...it's no exaggeration to say you're an idiot.

How does it feel to have an idiot point out your mistake?

We really don't take too kindly to foreign troops showing up uninvited.........

I've said a prayer for them. God bless Australia.

"If television crews were able to get themselves round this area the situation was not so fraught that officials and service personnel could not have done the same," he said. One difference. Freedom of the Press (recognised by the US Constitution) gives televisrion crews a wedge tp do this.

It was mostly a matter of confusion & being as how everything got cleared up once Bush got involved, it was probably smarter to wait.
OTOH, if I were a foreign govt., I would have likely sent agents (not secret & not troops) to get my people out.
They would not have need tanks just a couple of SUVs or minivans.

Heard of a rumor the reason the Aussies and Brits were taken out of the SD to a more secure location and being on first buses out was there was going to be a Aussie military rescue operation whether state department liked it or not.
I guess they would have had to do something like parachute in maybe, but stranger things have been done.

Tell that to the Aussie, Brit and other White nationals there, it was a most dangerous place for them.

The Brits have been kvetching about life among the cannibal kings for several centuries now.
BTW, in WWII, when my uncle landed at Oran it was first necessary to dispose of the French troops facing them before they could get on with the war. They did so and everything turned out fine.
Accordingly, the Australian government knows better than to try something as foolish as a military mission in the US. We would dispatch them as easily as the French. BTW, we learned how to do that from our Turkish allies donchaknow!

What an interesting case study ~ someone demands incontrovertible evidence, legal due process, and all that, and because I'm such a lawabiding person you think I'm supporting rape, mayhem and riot. I think you're still busy looking for an excuse to shoot people. Tell it to your liberal friends. You're not fooling anyone here. It is obvious your sympathies lie with those who preyed on innocent human beings.
