The Fox News coverage of Hurricane Katrina has been miserable, and I've never been a huge fan of that channel even though they are more "balanced" than anyone else. They've adopted the same sh!tty tabloid mentality that pervades all of Rupert Murdoch's media outlets, and I've always felt that they are marketing themselves to an audience with an IQ of about 90. On top of all that, I haven't watched a minute of Fox News since they hired that @sshole Geraldo Rivera Jerry Rivers.
Fox News does an outstanding job! Fox & Friends is great, and Shep Smith, and Jane Skinner, and Neil Cavuto, and Brit Hume and the Fox All-Stars, and Bill O'Reilly, and Hannity and Colmes, and Greta, etc., etc. etc. (and all the folks on the weekend) ... (and new to Fox News Bill Hemmer) ... And Geraldo does an excellent job as well. If you do not like Geraldo just do not tune in for the two hours that he is on each weekend.
The people here at FR who whine and complain about Fox News ought to pool their money and start their own news channel.

But now Aruban Authorities have released all three prisoners to get Fox News to return and fill the empty hotel rooms

I guess they won in Natalee Hollway coverage. You may complain, but the results speak for themselves.

"People who watch Faux news are sheep."
DU quote after finding out that once again, the Communist News Network its satellites are rapidly approaching the Mendoza Line.
Maybe one day, people who vote Democrat will wake up and see that their party has been taken over by Stalin wannabees.

I'll only be happy when Fox outdraws the major networks and not just other cable nets. That would be a huge victory. The fact is the alpabet nets easily outdraw Fox. The success of Fox is just a start. If it would make the major nets more responsible, that would be a measure of success too. Since I never watch the big three nets any more (unless a gun is held to my head or I'm a captive audience), I don't know if the big three are making any effort to be more responsible. I assume that they are not.

The Fox afternoon shows (Shep, Cavuto, Bret) are far superior to the evening shows...especially Bret's. The evening shows are usually a waste of time. O'Reilly can be good occasionally, but he too still does too much sensational stuff.

When you look up clueless liberal in the dictionary, there is a picture of Olbermann next to it. He is by far the dumbest clueless liberal I've ever seen.

Don't complain at all. Hollway family had a very good professional PR person in Mobile working for them behind scenes the entire time. Classic example of taking steps to keep your story front page materiel for weeks/months.
Schlinders and Elian Gonzales supporters either had well-minded amateurs (Schlinders) or in the case of Elian, a self serving local PR type who only wanted to get the coverage so he could get himself elected to the Dade County Commission. They were PR disasters.
Understand, when I say they were PR disasters, I'm not speaking in a flip way or being disrespectful of the issues or people involved. I'm talking about the success or failure of using the media to rally public opinion to your side.
