""$15,000 dollars a year is plenty. They just need to live within their means. Why do they need Tv's, cars, phones, radios and stuff.
Give me a break!! A family with three cannot live on $15k per year unless they are eskimoes. Health Insurance even with a high deductibl would be $400-500 per month. Let alone food, gas, electricity, rent, clothing etc etc. ""
Actually I was being sarcastic.
But that would be said buy many on here and they truly mean it.
Some people do not have a clue what it would be like to get hit with a devastating financial situation.
To them it is all their fault.

Well I think a two parent houshold with just 22000 dollar income would put you in poverty. You know they get benefits in Scandinavia too. I am from Norway so I cannot say for a fact what the treshold is. I am a young guy and I know nobody that earns less than $40000 a year. My friends do all kind of jobs. From regular industri jobs, welding, self own enterprise, sales manager, computer programmers etc. So I have average friends, but nobody earns less than $40000.

Agree with you that poor in the one of the richest countries in the world would be rich in many other less developed countries, and be good living standard in some industralized countries
