Then without further ado, off yourself to save the planet... Indeed. What grave hypocrisy it is to decry the problem without demonstrating commitment to the solution! ;-)

Human Zoo participants on Bear Mountain.
Presented to the public with only fig leaves to protect their modesty, the humans will become an important feature of zoo life as they are cared for by our experienced keepers and kept entertained through various forms of enrichment.
The four day event aims to demonstrate the basic nature of man as an animal and examine the impact that Homo sapiens have on the rest of the animal kingdom.

AGENT SMITH
I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I've realized that you are not actually mammals.
Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment. But you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area.
There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus.
Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague. And we are... the cure.
I know the Wachowski brothers have earned some contempt for some of their imagery in the Matrix series, but this zing at the Gaea-worshipping wackos is one of my favorite speeches in the whole series. (For those not Matrix fans, Smith is the 'bad guy' who goes on from his apparent destruction in the first movie to attempt the extinction of all human and machine life in the second two through absorption into his own self. The ultimate egoist liberal, really.)

Well, the monkeys are smarter and probably don't smell as bad.

In the 60's, when the phrase "let it all hang out" was big, my very proper grandmother's response was, "why should we want to let it all hang out? It's taken us centuries to tuck it all in." I'm thinking of grandma right now, tucking it in is definitely losing to the let it all hang out crowd.

"Beware the beast man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him, for he is the harbinger of death." - The Sacred Scrolls

It's just a more primitive form of Reality TV.
To: calcowgirl
Hmmm, I knew there was a reason I didn't watch that stuff. My reality TV is more science based.
