Some of the die-hard, rabid right-wingers who still support George W. Bushs immoral and illegal actions tried recently to overload my email system by flooding it with bitches and moans over recent columns about their poster boy for destruction of the Constitution.
Their grand plan didnt work. My anti-spam filter caught most of them because it quite properly considers GOP-generated mail spam (as it does for Democratic-generated mail).
The handful of messages that got through cried about the language I use to describe their President.
Your crude, obscene language destroys your credibility, one said. Why not just shut up and go away?
Gotta wonder who writes these missives for Bushites since most of the right-wing morons who clutter up bulletin boards like FreeRepublic cant string together a simple declarative sentence. Probably computer-generated.
Theyre not the only ones who get upset at my language when it comes to describing the pukefest called the Bush administration. Hell, my mother complains and shes no fan of Bush.

Oog oog I r Republikan simpleton!!!!
What a moron.
I remember when Mr. Thompson was one of the good guys, namely during impeachment. Now it sounds like, to use a phrase I heard in Texas, someone shoved a corn cob up his arse.

That entire dig at FR was utter jealousy. He is probably bent that DU can't seem to get past "blogspeak" on their crappy forum.
Gee, he wants reader comments, yet he has a spam filter axe most of them. Gosh, I feel so abused.
wee r gest idjuts
Like I always say, "Bad PR is PR, Bad Dem PR...is priceless.
A guess a FReeper got their wings.
What Democrats Think About Protests:
When they do it: It's an upholding of the Constitution, a demonstration of solidarity, power to the people, etc.
When we do it: "They're mean and stupid and nasty -- and it's probably computer generated!"
He's a goofy yo-yo, huh? LOL. Can't say I've ever seen a website quite like his . . . and I darn sure won't venture over to his again.
Give it up, Doug. You went around the bend and got burned by a bad source. This from a guy who told everyone else to live by the journalistic maxim that if your mother tells you that she loves you, get it from another source. You were a liar all along, apparently.
And having been exposed, you are now free to make claims such as the one here that the Bush Admin is engaged in "immoral and illegal actions" - without documenting such. In doing such, you've joined the other discredited journalistic hacks who said the Swift Boat Vets were a bunch of liars, without bothering to demonstrate where the were actually lying.
In other words, you now can't tell your opinions from the facts. Yet you have the temerity to denegrate FR posters who work long and hard finding the facts that you can't be bothered to cite.
So, Doug, what has Terrence J. Wilkinson been up ro lately?
LOL (ahhh blogspeak!!!)
YIS WEE UR
Going out for drinks with Joe Wilson and Dan Rather.
So far, in the span of 20 minutes, I've been called a right-wing moron, Bushite and a white supremacist by two people I've never even heard of for the crime of posting at FR.
Doug Thompson and Wayne Madsen are new names I learned today. They are now included on the list of pathetic whackadoos. These fools not worth the energy it takes to respond.
Ah, the beauty of the internet, allowing even whackjobs like this lunatic to have a little place to spew their venom. At least he's got the leftist "debate" tactics down pat -- "I know what I know and I don't care what you say because if you disagree with me you're wrong and I don't have to prove it and I can't heeeaaar you la la la la". To be more accurate, though, shouldn't his photo on that blog show him holding his breath until he turns blue?
Your mother has righteous reason to complain Dougie, believe me.
Hard to compete with a towering intellect like this one, isn't it? Actually, I do care a good deal about the country, enough to put up with this sort of content-free adolescent whining in the hopes that somewhere in it will be found a diamond in the dung. This one's all dung.
Ivan I used post at CHB forum back in da day until he got rid of even rational moderators and co administaror what Buffon I remember CHB forum was bad*** nobody post there I used post breaking news over there last post be at 2am est on that thread because of me now everybody is post only 10 or 9pm est
Save America exists solely to try and cut through the partisanship and misinformation that dominates the Internet and bring facts to the attention of our readers. We have no ax to grind, no hidden agendas to develop, no political philosophies to push.
Sounds like he's suffering from paranoid dementia. Too bad, really - he used to be very good at attacking Weird Bill.

I don't know this guy, but it's always interesting how lib writers wring a column out of negative reactions to their inflammatory comments. It's almost embarassing because he's basically telling his fellow libs 'Look! I'm a REAL writer cuz they sent me hate mail! Can I be in the inner circle now???"
Bush, in my opinion, is criminally insane, a pill-popping dry drunk whose erratic behavior and reckless actions threaten world peace and the future of this nation far more than any Islam-spouting religious fanatic
Does this guy seriously think this is some daring original thing to write? It's the "See Dick Run" of liberal writing--a string of BS cliches they're all required to flash before they are admitted into the circlejerk.
He's an ol' hippie. I remember reading his column several years ago lamenting the loss of industry in his home town in Illinois, total crybaby.
Now he swears real tough at the end of his column like hippies did in the 1960s. Not impressed at all with this ex-druggie, too may pills and psychodelic poison in his system.
He just rants like he thinks it's the 60s all over again, typical lib.
Yeah we have some good forum members then suddnetly he turn on Good people there some people left I was one of them
I declare: this guy can't even spell "maroon", and we are to take him seriesly? Judging from the tone of his little screed, it appears someone hit a nerve here. Actually, I'm impressed with the writing of many posters here on FR, writing not matched on any public forum that I've encountered. He should stick to name-calling methinks which has more emotional appeal. Oh look, I just strung together...
For those who don't know, I'll give credit to Thompson for great reporting on Clinton sexual assaults.
You know, after seven years on this forum, I can say he does have a point.
I have absolutely no idea who Doug Thompson is. I think I'll keep it that way.
Okay, if Helen Thomas signs on someone ping me. Cause that I gotta see. ;-)
WOW!
I remember when he was one of the good guys, too! I haven't read him for so long...I had no idea!...what could have happened to him???
Feel priveleged instead. He clearly wants only a pat on the back from his mutual admiration society. And those Dummie peons are all too willing to oblige.
Maybe he's trolling? I should translate into a patois of jibberish and profanity so he can un-der-stand. But he's not worth our time.
Sounds like Dougie's last check from $oreA$$ bounced or never arrived.
Is there a coincidence that we never see Dougie and Michael Moore in the same room at the same time?
I think his slide into irrelevancy began when he decided that President Bush was addicted to drugs and paranoid. Strangely, that's when Mr. Thompson began to sound as if he was addicted to drugs and paranoid. In psychology, this condition is called transferrence.

"Their grand plan didnt work. My anti-spam filter caught most of them because it quite properly considers GOP-generated mail spam (as it does for Democratic-generated mail)."
If all this e-mail he claims people attempted to "flood" him with didn't get through, how does he know there was a flood of it? He's a liar in addition to being a filthy traitor. Spam filters don't work by just filtering out e-mails from people you've not received mail from before. It filters by use of keywords and also looking to see if the "send to" line contains many recipients which is usually a sign the e-mail is being blasted to many different address.
Hi remember back during the Lewinsky investigation Thompson was a feed from the DemoncRATs to conservatives who were outright suckered & used like a $1 bill into raising the bar for Clinton's impeachment - then he had brain surgery & ever since then it's been progressively worse & worse & worse & worse ...
Its not my fault, Im publik skool edumacated..
Below is the great thread by Interesting Times with the documentation which showed what a pathological liar DT was/is:

Waiting for Terrance J. Wilkinson -- The Rise and Fall of the 'Bush Lied' Smear...

In coming weeks, Democratic elected officials will question the Presidents intentions on the pending war with Iraq. Writers and broadcasters friendly to the Democratic cause have already been provided talking points suggesting the war is about oil, not terrorism. The talking points were developed before the end of last year and sent out to operatives and friendly media, one Democratic consultant confided. No Democratic member of Congress will question the Presidents patriotism openly but we will use the media and other surrogates to raise doubts.
Capitol Hill Blue obtained a copy of the talking points when the Democratic National Committee sent them to a news outlet recently acquired by CHBs parent company. The talking points outline a strategy to raise public doubts of the Presidents real intentions, including: --Saying the war is about oil and will be fought to benefit oil companies that have long supported Bush and the Republican party;
--Claiming the Bush administration has manufactured evidence against Saddam Hussein and used that evidence to encourage Britain and other allies to join the American fight against Iraq;
-- Capitol Hill Blue, January 6, 2003.
I know that Doug Thompson had a falling out with Free Republic and that he generally considered to be a bit of a flake, but I haven't heard much about him lately. I doubt that it was Freepers who were flooding his mail box.
OH! I created an acutal sentence! Wow...my brain hurts. I must revert to my caveman-like thought process. UGH.
Ivan, I was just thinking the same thing! What happened to him?
Doug had a real good site in the ninties and then went south when he sold it, bought it back, and then had brain surgury, stopped reading it in '99.
And they always write the same thing. It's like a kid asked to write an essay giving his rough draft to 50 friends and they change a few words to make it look like they wrote it themselves.
Can anyone help jog my memory on that story??
I seem to recall that Mr. Thompson at one point was going to retire to pursue a career in professional photography, as he felt politics had become far too unseemly (this was back in Weird Bill's day, I believe). He chose poorly to come back.

I can too string a sentence together Doug.
Yo Momma wears Army Boots and Paper Bag drawers.
Doug Thompson is a Lilliputian.
