I prefer Belling 1000 times over vs Roger Hedgecock. I turn off the radio when I hear Hedgecock's voice.
I have this image of his wife standing in the doorway, tapping her foot with rolling pin in hand, waiting for him to get home after subbing for Rush.
I heard Chaney say he was going to France.
What's so bad about Hedgecock?
I'm not familiar with the guy on now, but I heard some yesterday and got the sense he was swinging a little above his weight.
Roger Hedgecock, though, annoys the sh*t outta me.
But I listen anyway, because the only alternative is Springer or Franken.
Rush is getting married AGAIN?!!!
His monotone voice wears on me. He's not sharp on his feet with liberal callers.
He also gets off in wild tangents where he doesn't know what he's talking about. Like last week when the London cop shot the suspected terrorists 5 times in the head at point-blank range (which he didn't mention). He spent a good 30 minutes "Oooh 5 shots for 5 shots.. i'd like to see our whiney and complaining Cops in the United States do that." and just went off about Police officers and made insulting, "name-calling" comments to a couple of them who were on the phone when he couldn't combat their arguments.
Just a boring act that puts me to sleep. He has no energy and when I tune into Rush, that's what I'm looking for.
I used to think Hedgecock was the best fill in host, but I haven't enjoyed listening to him in the last year or so. Can't put my finger on it.
Regardless, when Rush isn't in, I don't listen. Rush IS talk radio.
Mark Belling has a local show in Milwaukee that follows Rush's show. He is MUCH, MUCH better doing a local show. Having said that, I'm proud that he has been chosen to stand in for El Rushbo.
Dr. Walter's wife is on the roof cleaning out the gutters! He got her a new ladder for Christmas, you know!!
I think it's because the others are actually talk show hosts so their always ready to go whereas Williams is a Professor at George Mason Univ. and probably is busy doing that and writing great columns. :)
Hippee Libs, why don't you run that engine on dope!
Very tongue in cheek and humorous. He's pretty Libertarian actually, making him a little to the right of Rush even, I think. He jokingly talks about his wife and the gifts he gives her. For instance, on her birthday he gets her practical things like a mop and bucket. :)
He's also very adroit with economics and explaining things in non classroom jargon. He's a professor at George Mason University.
He is really funny. You know darn well he treats that woman like a queen! But I'm sure he gets people going with the way he talks on the show.
So do I..I imagine it's a game they play. :)
*AWESOME*!
s,
LOL. Faculty disappear from May until September!
Belling used to do "The Weekend" some and he was better there than he is on Rush. "The Weekend" now is full time Mike McConnell and he really sucks, course he's a Lib.
