Don't hold your breath waiting.
Not just the people back home, but scenes of faithless spouses don't do much for morale 'there', either.
"MASH'... for those too young to remember that America is supposed to lose wars.
I've discovered on another message board that the reaction of the public to Jihad Jane's bus tour is outrage. Could turn out to be a blow to the anti-war movement.
The P-I may be taking a little journalistic liberty here. I suspect the actual preferred adjective might have been different, although it very well may have also begun with the letter BAw come on, our soldiers would never use indecent language. Just ask Donald Wildmon...

In real life most people hated the war. It's natural to hate war. They just didn't go around complaining about it 24/7, like Alda, et al. They did their jobs to end it as soon as possible.
Kudos for a great find. The opinions of our troops for this evident Democrat propaganda need to be heard.
Big article about this show in USA Today a few days ago. They only had/have one military consultant because they didn't want to get bogged down in details. LOL
The 60's movies are back
Don't be so quick to poopoo this program. Botchko is a proven success maker. The fact that the MSM turned down his pilot is a positive for me. As a kid, I watched "Combat". It was great, even though my dad, who served with the 66th infantry in WW2, thought it was rediculously inaccurate. Everyone I knew wanted to carry a BAR into battle because of the show.
I receive a lot of free magazines that I would never pay for. One recently reviewed the show and complained that it didn't take a political stance, and then went on to say that MASH and West Wing???????????? proved that a political stance worked.
I believe that the liberals are afraid that showing soldiers in Iraq as heroes will lead to increased recruiting and more support for the war.
Even if I don't watch it, I'll say I do. God bless the American military.
Who was it, did it mention?
I hope the show does not find an audience big enough to keep it on the air. I am sure that it WILL be a big hit among our enemies who are living throughout Europe and the US. It is yet another example of aiding and abetting the enemy.
The technical adviser, Marine Staff Sgt. Sean Bunch, guides the actors in military technique.
Sounds like something from the 'Baghdad Palace' Michael Tucker/Michael Moore creative-editing/blame-America-first school. No thanks.
Support our troops.
To all Iraq War Vets: please review this show tomorrow night, and tell us what you think. I guarantee, somewhere Bochco or some stooge from some Hollywood antiwar group will dig up some sort of a vet to vet this show, and tell us all that this is the way it is. I'd much rather hear it from you! Tell us the unvarnished truth: is this an accurate portayal of the War in Iraq, or is it bogus propaganda, or something in-between. I can take the truth, but first I would like to hear it. Take care, good luck and Semper Fi!
FX deserves an open mind from me, for creating the best show on television - "The Shield." That show kicks ass in every way.
If "Over There" sucks, I'll stop watching it.
It'll be interesting to see if there any bad guys actually in it and how the terrorists are portrayed.
Beauty is in the eye of the cathode rays.
