I had very high hopes for this show as a Veteran of the DS1 time frame. I couldn't watch beyond the first few minutes. I never actually went to Iraq, but knew and trained many other soldiers that were being sent to war. Not one depiction of the "soldiers" in that show was even close to the reality I experienced.
The show sickened me. I do have it on tape, so if I get motivated, I might try to stomach more than a few minutes.
Thank your daughter on my behalf for her sacrifice to protect my freedom. Thank you for your support of your daughter.

Excellent idea.
The left can no longer rely on main stream news media to distort the truth, so they will use Hollywood.
How can you argue with fiction. So it is really not like that, but it could be.
I am not sure how middle America will respond to this attempt to sway their emotions agains support of the war on terror (and President Bush).
What the left does not seem to understand is, unlike Viet Nam, there is no picking up our marbles and coming home, with just the poor South Vietnamese paying with the lifes when we abandoned them.
Those that make war against us will not stop if we leave the Middle East they will just bring it here.
This is a war on survival, us or them. There is not middle ground.
Oh come on. Don't get me started on how just how bogus just about anything Hollywood cranks out on war or the military is.
and will strike again and again making our soldiers look like fools until we stop buying into their nonsense and start making the shows ourselves.

Z...speaking of soldiers, those of us with e-contacts "over there" should forward this article to our troops, so they know what we all think of this wretched excuse for a show...even the premise of a series about a war in the middle of the actual war offended me somehow, and that was before I read this "review"!
P...one military consultant??! sheesh!! No agenda here, is there? double sheesh!
Heads up.
Ping lists.
Kudos to your brave daughter. We appreciate her service and courage.
Oh no, Scott was a huge lib... harrumph.
