Yes, but it was perfect for kids going on vacation out West... Public lands was how I tried to envision the song - National Parks, BLM lands, National Forests, Monuments, etc.. On a related note recall a bit wistfully being able to order from the Bureau of Public Documents, maps and charts - _pounds_ of data for little to nothing. I agree with Woody that it shouldn't cost $20 a night to sleep on the ground.

The most amazing thing about Seeger and the other 30 lefties is their support of Stalin even when he was aligned with Hitler. Those facts never seem to make the MSM notes about this digusting person. He's nothing but a POS. Always has been, always will be.
I wonder about his relationship with Arlo Guthrie since the latter converted to Catholicism some time ago?

Seeger traveled around with Woodie Guthrie in the 1940's. Guthrie wrote the song "This land is your land" which Seeger made popular during the folk music years--late 50's to mid 60's. Everyone thinks of that song as patriotic, but in fact it is a protest song against the private ownership of land--a communist idea if ever there was one.Woody Guthrie could not exist in this day and time when the Left has come to mean simply National Socialism for non-whites. He'd be labelled a dangerous rightwing populist and skewered by the people who currently think he's the only good redneck that ever lived.

Hadn't heard that. But of course there are Catholic's and then there are Catholic's. If you know what I mean.
